What is Okutadami Maruyama Ski Resort?

Okutadami Maruyama Ski Resort is a unique destination located in one of Japan’s snowiest regions.

Winter Highlights
In early winter, around December, you can enjoy some of the finest powder snow thanks to the abundant snowfall. Because of the heavy snow, the access road is closed from January through late March. During this time, the snow continues to accumulate, creating the conditions for a special spring ski season.

Spring Highlights

From April to early May, the resort reopens, offering vast fields of deep spring snow. Skiers can experience zaramé snow—a type of spring corn snow with a distinct texture, beloved by many. During this limited period, the terrain park also opens, making Okutadami Maruyama a true mecca for spring skiing, where you can ski to your heart’s content all day long.

Winter Access

Winter Access

Please note that in winter, the main access road, the Okutadami Silver Line, is open only from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
