This is a Buddhist temple situated in Eunseoksan Mountain (455m). It’s been said that it was erected by Great Monk Wonhyo during the reign of King Munmu of Silla, but the accuracy of this legend is not certain.
It was a large temple at the time of its establishment, but its size grew smaller throughout the years as it was repaired and rebuilt. It is famous for having been a gathering place for poets and writers who honed their craft here.
