The Role of Party Labels in Developing Countries

Outline

There are many studies that analyze political parties in developing countries, but some of them have just generated ad hoc explanations on how such parties as well as party members behave. To provide findings that help us develop more generalizable framework on parties in developing countries, this project studies party-switching, performance of programmatic parties, and the rise of parliamentary party groups focusing on the role of party labels.
