I give up. New Charge 6, same results... https://photos.app.goo.gl/CYEYrW5djsdib9za8 ... View more
To be fair, I thought I should write a little update. After several chat sessions and email exchanges, I finally have another Charge 6 on its way. I should get it tomorrow. I thought it would never happen as I bought it second hand and I didn't have a receipt. I was able to give the location of where it was originally bought and that was enough for Fitbit to provide me with a replacement. ... View more

Another update... Finally, the reply came in and they asked me to reset my watch, which I had done 2 days prior. So, I decided to reach Fitbit by chat again. This time, the person said I would be getting an email from their "specialized team". Here are the questions they asked me: *What were you doing when you noticed the problem? If you were exercising, specifically what types of exercise? *Were you wearing the Fitbit device particularly tight or loose? *What was the position of the Fitbit device on your wrist? From my profile, I'm pretty sure they can tell that I know how to wear a Fitbit since I own one since 2019. What is weird is that even if the Charge 5 was not accurate, it was still better than my Charge 6. https://photos.app.goo.gl/z1v4ei12DxUePLF58 ... View more

Thanks for sharing. I contacted Fitbit via the chat help on 3 occasions and we tried something different each time. I was told to reply to the email this time instead if I still had issues. Even worse today. Still waiting for a reply. ... View more

Thanks for asking. I do get it going manually. I learned about it when running. I couldn't figure out why it didn't match my friend's watch. It turned out I let the watch start the activity by itself. No more. 😁 ... View more

A little update after 4 days with the charge 6.... For the last 3 spinning sessions, the watch gives readings totally off for the first 15 minutes (off by 30 to 50) compared to my chest sensor. After that, the watch is bang on. I've contacted Firbit 3 times and each time they make me try something different. I wonder what they have in their sleeves for when I have to contact them again tomorrow. Hahaha ... View more

Thanks for your reply. It's only my third day with the watch. I was very pleased yesterday when I did a 30 minute spinning session. It was really close to my chest sensor. It is definitely on the right wrist. Today's session was one hour. I wonder if sweat was a factor. I'll keep experimenting... ... View more

Hum, I thought the Charge 6 would give me an accurate heart rate. I just went from Charge 5 to 6 because I was too frustrated with the lack of accuracy. I did some spinning this am. It started well, but then things went weird towards the end. 😞 Chest HR Charge 6 ... View more

I'm 63 (male) in OK shape (Cardio Fitness 45). I have a Charge 5 and have a hard time believing the HR reading when I run. It seems accurate when I bike, but totally off when I run. I always wear my watch on the left wrist (non-dominant). I thought I should try the left wrist and here's the difference: https://photos.app.goo.gl/7Ps4JQ3LX61yqQVj7 Left wrist - 5:56/km pace - 169 bpm Right wrist - 5:36/km pace - 159 bpm At 63, I doubt very much that I can hit the 180s. Here's a typical bike ride. That seems more like the way it should be if I disregard the 194 peak. Any thoughts? https://photos.app.goo.gl/QSdKRpWaLoYD8KKRA ... View more

Thanks @MarreFitbit , I was very happy to get my replacement in less than 24 hours after I filled out the form. I've always said that I liked the Versa 2 very much and I am more than willing to help improve the product in any way I can. I am also very impressed with the support I get from Fitbit. I read a lot of negative comments and I wonder if I should just stop following the different forums. I don't like to see all that negativity... Thank you all for your help, Pierre ... View more

And the frustration continues. I honestly don't know what I'm supposed to do. I have to go back and forth between the "old" watch and the new one every other day. To make things worse, the watch got the distance totally wrong with my regular 3 km run. And that was my best time. 😞 EDIT: Not every other day. I reset one this morning and had to switch again this afternoon - no swiping at all after half a day. ___________________________________________________ ... View more

I'm kind of curious now. I wonder if this happens more to users who are very active. I do about 3 hours of active minutes per day - hiit, running, cycling, longboarding, ... and this is my second Versa 2 in 5 months. I know other users who definitely don't do as much as I do and they don't have any issues. ... View more
Thanks @LiliyaFitbit for your help. I'll leave an update here in case others follow... I unpaired my recent Versa 2 and left it alone for 2-3 hours. Meanwhile, I managed to connect with my old Versa. No swiping either, but at least it collects data. My recent Versa came back to life. I was able to do a factory reset and reconnect it with my phone this am. No swiping possible still. I went for a run and tried several times to press the arrow for "Starting exercise app" while I was running. Only at the end of my run was I able to activate the app after pressing maybe 10 times. Then, it took me forever to stop it since I was already done with my run. It's so silly, I'm almost laughing. Now I'm pressing the back button and it's hit and miss again. I'll be waiting for a reply from Customer Support , but I don't have much hope since this is already my 2nd Versa in less than 5 months. ... View more
@LiliyaFitbit , I guess I spoke too soon. My Versa 2 is totally unusable this morning. I've been fussing with it for over an hour trying to do a factory reset. Since swiping doesn't work, I have to use the back button. I use the instructions below, but never get the second vibration. Instead, the logo shows up again. Hold the back button for about 8 seconds. When the Fitbit logo disappears: Release the button briefly (for less than 2 seconds). Hold the button again until you feel a second, longer vibration, which indicates they initiated the factory reset. ... View more
Thanks for getting back to me. In fact, the watch has been acting out the passed 2 days. The battery went down 50% overnight. It usually is 10%. The left button doesn't always work. Swiping is hit and miss. This morning, all of a sudden, the Fitbit logo showed up when I came back from my run. I did a factory reset and did not install any new app just in case that was the problem. I use Orb Redux as my clockface. I love the Versa 2. So disappointing... I went through pretty well the same thing with my watch (watches). I got a Versa 2 for Christmas and after a couple months, it was unusable. I contacted customer support and we managed to get it going again using a different phone. Two weeks later, I contacted customer support again and this time there was nothing we could do. They sent me another watch. So, I've had the new watch for a month and a half. Well, this week, I had to do a factory reset again 3 days in a row. It seems to be fine today, but for how long. Like @D0sntwrk said, it is not fair that we have to go through this. ... View more

For about 30 minutes this am, my Versa 2 shut down and I couldn't start it again. I didn't know what to do. I love this watch. I looked online for tips but didn't find anything that worked. Thanks @RicardoFitbit for the suggestion. I guess I could try it. This would work well when I go for brisk walks, but it would mess up the data for my every day walking, wouldn't it?
