Marta Bańbura is a Senior Lead Economist in the Forecasting and Policy Modelling Division within the Directorate General Economics at the European Central Bank. She has worked extensively on developing time series models for forecasting and business cycle analysis, with particular focus on forecasting and analysis of inflation and on nowcasting. She has contributed to handbook chapters on forecasting inflation and on nowcasting and published in the International Journal of Forecasting and in the Journal of Applied Econometrics. She holds a PhD in Economics from the Université libre de Bruxelles.
