RRAGE: Ragnar's Ramifications in Algebra and Geometry Emerging Workshop
Description
This meeting will focus on current research that exists because of the profound influence of Prof. Buchweitz (who passed away on November 11, 2017). His work has sparked new ideas in commutative and noncommutative algebra, algebraic geometry, representation theory, singularities, and deformation theory. Moreover, it should also serve to further develop the bridges that have already been built between these areas, in particular through Prof. Buchweitz's work.
This workshop will give experts in these fields the opportunity to communicate and to exchange ideas and also to commemorate some of Prof. Buchweitz's most celebrated results. Moreover, the meeting will allow postdocs and graduate students to interact with established researchers and develop their research programs.
NOTE: The deadline for funding applications is May 1st.
