Location:
Fields Institute, Stewart Library
Abstract:

How close are varieties with "simple" derived categories to being rational? How much arithmetic information is encoded in the derived category of a variety over a global field? In this talk, we provide some answers. This is joint work with A. Duncan, A. Lamarche, and P. McFaddin. It was partially supported by grants from the NSF and USC.
