Best Performance?
We can't tell if the CWB writers are being humorous or not :
- Thirteen people were shot in Chicago over the weekend, four of them fatally, marking the best performance for the same weekend since 2017, according to HeyJackass, a website that tracks Chicago violence using official and open-source data.
So does "best performance" mean lowest number of shootings?
Or do they mean the kill percentages are getting better along with the aim of the ne'er-do-wells? Because a 30% success rate is almost unheard of these days.
It's a bit of unintentional dark humor - and we appreciate it.

Sorry. I know many can’t stand to hear it but shootings and homicides are way down..
Crime is down guys
According to the follow-up story at CWB Chicago violent crime has hit an 8-year low. That's undeniably true of homicides and aggravated batteries. Of course some crimes like carjacking and robbery have been reclassified, many victims don't bother to make a report now and there isn't a Shot-Spotter to record the incredible amount of shots fired here in this city. It's like applauding a grown adult for not soiling and throwing-up on themselves in 8 years. (Yeah...I got stories.)

Kind of sounds like we have a new president who is actually enforcing the law and locking up criminals and scaring more off the streets. Unlike the Dems who need the criminal and illegal vote to win. I'm sure the Dems will take credit for the "decrease". Typical Dems, take credit for things you don't do and blame others for things you do.

no dummie it's because the bad guys aren't on the street committing crime because of ICE and citizens do not have to call police.
ICE was chased away early and it resulted in two law abiding businessmen to be murdered by an illegal immigrant. good thing the local politicians and good suburban citizens packed up whistles to warn this bad guy.
