Combat Colin No.3 to debut at Nottingham Comic Con this Saturday
This Saturday, 20th October, is the date for Nottingham Comic Con, a one-day event that's totally dedicated to comics and their creators. One of the comics on offer will be Combat Colin No.3, which will debut exclusively at the event.
I'll be bringing along copies of the comic to sell on my table, and they won't be available anywhere else. (You'll be able to buy them from my online shop later next week.)
Combat Colin No.3 is another 40 page issue (4 colour covers and 36 black and white interiors, U.S. comic book size) for £3.50. It reprints all the Combat Colin strips that originally appeared in Marvel UK's Transformers comic from July 1989 to February 1990.
This issue reaches the era of Combat Colin stories where the strip really hit its stride, becoming even more fantastic in its themes with battles against monsters and aliens. It sees the introduction of The Gunge, The Brain, The Amazing Dave, and more, explains how the Atomic Underpants work, sees Colin trapped in The Place of No Return, and ends with an adventure on Mars! Fast-paced daft adventures for all ages.
I'll also be bringing along copies of Combat Colin 1 and 2, and Derek the Troll to the convention so see you at Nottingham Comic Con this Saturday! More info about the event here:

Nottingham Comic Con for October 20th!
I'm very pleased to be able to reveal that I'll be one of the guests at Nottingham Comic Con on Saturday 20th October. I've been invited before, but couldn't make it either due to illness or being otherwise engaged, so I'm really looking forward to being there this year!
They've also interviewed me for their website, and you can read that here:

Floor plan for Nottingham Comic Con
The organizers of the Nottingham Comic Convention have revealed the floor plan for the event, which takes place at the Nottingham Conference Centre next Saturday, 29th October.
The show is on two floors. I'm on the lower floor (shown above) and you'll find me at table 34. Here's the banner to look out for...
I'll be available to do sketches of my characters on request, and I'll be selling my self-published comics and prints to anyone who's interested. I believe I'm also on a discussion panel at some point in the day.
There's a great line-up of guests from the comics industry: Roger Langridge, Rachael Smith, The Etherington Brothers, Dan Berry, Chris Baldie, Abby Bulmer, Dean Beattie, Improper Books, Laura Howell, Marc Laming, and Avery Hill Publishing, along with loads of exhibitors, so why not have a day out in Nottingham and pay us a visit?
For full details, visit the convention website:

Nottingham Comic Con!
I thought I'd done my last comic con this year and was prepared for con-withdrawal symptoms, but I'm very happy to say that I've been invited to be a guest at Nottingham Comic Convention on Saturday 29th October. I haven't attended this show before but I've heard positive things about it and it looks like a great event! Also on the guest list are Laura Howell, Rachael Smith, Abby Bulmer, the Etherington Brothers and more UK talent, so it's shaping up to be a good show! Give the British comics industry your support and come along to meet us!
