Usability guideline on the web services of the National Diet Library
The NDL follows a basic policy, as stated on its user interface and content, to ensure that the NDL website is accessible to people of all abilities and that content is viewable, operable, and intelligible.
The National Diet Library accessibility policy
The NDL accessibility policy conforms to the guidelines given in JIS X 8341-3 "Guidelines for older persons and persons with disabilities-Information and communications equipment, software and services-Part 3: Web content". To comply with JIS X 8341-3 and Everyone's Public Website Operational Guidelines (2016) (Japanese) issued by Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communication, we hereby provide our accessibility policy.
The results of web accessibility compliance tests
The NDL conducts tests of its web services for their compliance with JIS X 8341-3, and publishes the results.
The results of the assessment of the National Diet Library's procedure for web accessibility
The NDL assesses every year its procedure for web accessibility improvements and maintenance and publishes the results based on Everyone's Public Website Operational Guidelines (2016) (Japanese) issued by Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communication. Please see the Web Archiving Project (WARP) for the results of the assessment before 2019.
