Hiders are blue ghosts that first appear in Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon . Per their name, these ghosts tend to hide in furniture or other objects, and flee to another spot upon being discovered. Hiders appear in groups of at least two, and always attack alongside other ghosts. Hiders throw objects at Luigi while hiding inside furniture or objects, doing 10 damage. They will move to new hiding places periodically, especially if their current spot is revealed. Sometimes, they throw banana peels to make Luigi slip. Luigi has to be quick in capturing them, due to their speed. Hiders have 15 HP. In the ending, Hiders and the other ghosts of Evershade Valley become friendly once more as a result of the Dark Moon's restoration.

A Hider also appears as a part of a trophy, alongside a Greenie, Slammer, and Gobber, in Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS . The trophy can be unlocked at random.

In XXX-001 An Accidental Discovery, an entry of Professor E. Gadd's Research Journal, a Hider pops out of a container and surprises Professor E. Gadd. This causes him to spill his a cup of Lunoman Greenie coffee blend into a vial of ghost energy, an accident that creates the element Goo. Goo is later used to create Gooigi.

In Luigi's Mansion 3 , a similar, but more aggressive enemy known as an Oozer appears.

Profiles and statistics[edit ]

  • Ghost Container description: These clever fellows love playing hide-and-seek. A bit impatient, though, so if you take too long to find them, they'll start throwing things at you! Stay on your toes!
