What Are Striders and What Do They Do in Minecraft

Striders are one of the only non-hostile mobs in the Nether. They can often be found on lower levels walking around. They're primally used for traveling long distances across lava because they're immune to lava.

Listed below are all the biomes that striders spawn inside the Nether.

Basalt Deltas
Crimson Forest
Delta
Lava sea
Nether Wastes
Soul Sand Valley
Warped Forest

How to Breed Striders

Before breeding a strider, you'll need to enter the Nether and be careful because nearly everything in the Nether is out to kill you. Then you should make sure that you've built a secure animal farm that the Strider can't escape from.

To breed a strider, you'll need some warped fungus that can be found in the Warped Forest biome in the Nether.

Once you feed the striders the warped fungus, they'll enter love mode, and a baby strider will spawn within a few seconds.

How to Ride Striders

To ride a strider, you're going to need two items. Listed below are all the items you need to ride a strider.

Saddle
Warped Fungus On A Stick

Now that you have both of these items, you'll need to place the saddle on the Strider. After you do that, equip the Warped Fungus On A Stick, and it'll begin to follow the fungus like a pig would if you had a carrot on a stick.
