Sign

A Sign is, quite simply, a plank with text on one side of it. When placed on the ground, it appears to be a signpost, but when placed on a wall or other block, it appears simply as a plank. Signs do not obstruct either the player's or other Mobs' movement.

When placed, the sign gives you the ability to customize what it will say. A sign has four lines, each of which has room for 15 characters. To switch between lines, simply press use the arrow keys (or hit "Enter"). Once you're satisfied with your sign, simply confirm the decision. However, be careful. Once you've placed a sign, you must destroy it and replace it if you wish to change the text.

Signs will also block the passage of Lava and Water.
