Hogwarts Valley Field Guide Page Locations

There are 8 Field Guide Pages in the Hogwarts Valley region that encompasses the large central area South of Hogwarts Castle itself, and the river running from the great black lake.

Hogwarts Valley Field Guide Page - Hebridean Black Scale

The Hebridean Black Scale is a large dragon that can grow to over nine metres in length. This large , rough scale belonging to one of the beasts is one of the prized possessions kept in this hideout.

You can find Archie Bickle's tent hideout in a small clearing among the woods due South of Lower Hogsfield, off of one of the main paths going into the valley. Look for a ramshackle looking tent strewn with debris and a large skeleton nearby to find the Field Guide Page.

Hogwarts Valley Field Guide Page - Murtlap Tentacles

Murtlap tentacles are a rare potion ingredient known to raise resistance to certain Dark Arts charms and contain healing properties.

This small container can better be found by looking for a group of standing rocks where some wizards often gather to paint a floating portrait of the nearby Hogwarts Castle across the lake. You can find it along the river's edge by traveling west from the Central Hogwarts Valley Floo Flame, and look on the west side of the river for the clearing among some flat rocks for the tiny vial on the ground.

Hogwarts Valley Field Guide Page - Enchanted Scarecrow

This mischievous-looking scarecrow was long ago enchanted to watch over the garden to ward off crows but now simply harasses gardeners by shouting insults at them while they work.

You can find this Field Guide Page at the hamlet of Brocburrow, located far above the valley on the upper east side of the region, and east of the Central Hogwarts Valley Floo Flame. From the center of town, cross past the Merlin Trial heading west to find a small garden between the two houses on the edge of the hamlet and you'll find the scarecrow there.

Hogwarts Valley Field Guide Page - Ginger Root

The barkeep in Keenbridge keeps a stock of ginger root handy to fend off his customers' nausea - and keep them imbibing a bit longer.

One of three Field Guide Pages found in the hamlet of Keenbridge in lower central Hogwarts Valley, this one can be found just to the right of the Keenbridge Floo Flame, at an open bar counter by the nearby building.

Hogwarts Valley Field Guide Page - Beehives

The wizarding world needs honey for their tea just as much as the Muggle world does.

One of three Field Guide Pages found in the hamlet of Keenbridge in lower central Hogwarts Valley, you can find this one just to the south of the Keenbridge Floo Flame on the other side of the building where the Ginger Roots page is, among a group of large conical beehives along the river.

Hogwarts Valley Field Guide Page - The Tilted House

The locals call this the Tilted House due to the odd angle at which it sits wrapped in the roots of the overhanging tree.

One of the three Field Guide Pages found in the hamlet of Keenbridge in lower central Hogwarts Valley, you can find this page west of the Keenbridge Floo Flame, at the front door to a house with a large tree drooping overhead.

Hogwarts Valley Field Guide Page - Lace Doily

The locals say that this doily was left as tribute to a beloved house-elf who dreamed of one day wearing it.

This Field Guide Page lays hidden behind the ruins of an old house due west of the hamlet of Keenbridge up the hill. The site is an Ancient Magic Hotspot, and if you look behind the ruined home, you can find a gravestone at the foot of a tree.

Hogwarts Valley Field Guide Page - Doxy Egg

Stolen by poachers for use in potions, these black eggs come from a Doxy - a magical beast sometimes mistaken for a fairy.

You can find this Field Guide Page inside a small Bandit Camp, which can be found in the hills in the southwest corner of the Hogwarts Valley, between the Keenbridge and Northern South Sea Bog Floo Flames. Follow the paths west and north from the South Sea Bog to find two small bandit camps in the area, and the northern one hides the Field Guide Page in a large open tent.

Hogwarts Valley Merlin Trial 1

  • Spells Required: Basic Cast

Found southeast of Lower Hogsfield, this Merlin Trial will task you with finding and destroying nine orbs that surround the Merlin altar. After activating the trial, use Revelio to reveal the location of the nearby orbs or refer to the list below:

  • Orbs 1 - 3: East of the Merlin altar with one of the orbs hiding behind a large rock.
  • Orbs 4 and 5: Near the rocks northwest of the Merlin altar.
  • Orb 6: Due west of the Merlin altar beside a boulder.
  • Orbs 7 - 9: Found south of the Merlin altar, with one of the orbs sitting atop the tallest rock in the area.

Hogwarts Valley Merlin Trial 2

After sprinkling Mallowsweet, cast Revelio to identify three nearby platforms. To complete this trial, you'll need to find three sets of stone orbs and drag them onto these platforms. The first set of orbs is hiding behind a breakable rock wall on the northern cliffs. Once you've broken the wall, use Accio to draw the orbs onto the western platform.

Next, head south of the Merlin altar and cast Revelio to reveal a platform sitting below a set of orbs. Drag the orbs down onto the platform, then head east to find the third platform atop a small ledge. From the platform, cast Revelio again and you should spot the final set of orbs on the northern cliffs. Pull them onto the platform with Accio or Wingardium Leviosa to complete this Merlin Trial.

Hogwarts Valley Merlin Trial 3

This Merlin Trial sits within the bandit camp that you infiltrated to free Arn's carts in the Side Quest, Carted Away. Unless you recently cleared it, the camp will be inhabited by several of Ranrok's Loyalists so take them down before beginning the trial. When it's safe, activate the trial and cast Revelio to mark three platforms in the area. To complete the trial, you'll need to find stone orbs and drag them onto each of these platforms. The first set of orbs is behind the iron gates on the southern end of the camp so use Accio to escort them through the gate and onto the platform beside the Merlin altar.

Next, look east of the Merlin altar and you'll spot a wooden wall that can be broken. Blast through the wall and you'll find the second platform. From the platform, head northeast and wrap around the closest rock formation to find the orbs hiding behind some foliage. Burn the foliage with Incendio or Confringo, then use Accio or Wingardium Leviosa to place the orbs onto the second platform.

To find the final platform, head back into the camp and walk toward the western end. Once, you've found the platform, look further west and you'll find its corresponding stone orbs beneath a metal structure.

Hogwarts Valley Merlin Trial 4

Sprinkle Mallowsweet Leaves on the Merlin altar, then cast Revelio to mark three braziers that line the nearby river. To complete this quest, you'll need to quickly light the three braziers so they're all lit simultaneously. Because the brazier that's closest to the southern bridge has the tallest pillar, you'll want to light it first.

Confringo has a generous range so try to light the first brazier from as far as possible to lessen the amount of time spent running to the following brazier.

After lighting the first brazier, follow the river to the northwest and quickly light the two remaining braziers. If you fail to complete this Merlin Trial on your first attempt, wait for the flames to extinguish, then return to the brazier near the bridge to try again.

Hogwarts Valley Merlin Trial 5

To complete the Merlin Trial found in the Brocburrow Hamlet, cast Revelio from the Merlin altar to reveal a crater to the southeast. Once you've reached the crater, hike up the southern hill and you'll discover several breakable rock walls. Destroy them on your way up the hill and behind the third wall, you'll find a massive stone orb. Use Depulso to push the orb down the hill and into the crater.

Hogwarts Valley Merlin Trial 6

Found west of the Hamlet of Brocburrow, this Merlin Trial will task you with using Lumos to lure groups of butterflies into the three stone enclosures that surround the Merlin altar. While you'll be able to find the stone enclosures by casting Revelio to mark their locations, the butterflies are more elusive. Read the list below to pinpoint the locations of the butterflies needed to complete this trial:

  • Butterflies 1 - Found in front of the fence east of the Merlin altar. These butterflies will be flying above a few wooden crates.
  • Butterflies 2 - The second set of butterflies is in the open field north of the Merlin altar.
  • Butterflies 3 - Found down the hill that leads west of the Merlin altar.

Hogwarts Valley Merlin Trial 7

Located northeast of the Keenbridge Hamlet, this Merlin Trial sits in a field of stone and it will require you to use Confringo to destroy five of the nearby stones that can be identified by their neon green markings. Once you've activated the Merlin Trial, cast Revelio from the Merlin altar and the stones you need to destroy will glow in blue.

Hogwarts Valley Merlin Trial 8

This Merlin Trial is located northwest of the Keenbridge Hamlet, and it'll task you with finding groups of butterflies and escorting them to stone enclosures with the help of your Lumos spell. To identify the stone enclosures, cast Revelio to scan the area. To determine where to find the butterflies needed to complete this trial, check out the list below:

  • Butterflies 1 - Just down the hill east of the Merlin altar.
  • Butterflies 2 - Underneath the stone bridge south of the Merlin altar.
  • Butterflies 3 - Found due west of the Merlin altar.

Hogwarts Valley Merlin Trial 9

This Merlin Trial can be found at the entrance of the Keenbridge Hamlet and just beside the local Floo Flame. After sprinkling Mallowsweet to begin this trial, head toward the Keenbridge Hamlet Shop, and to the right of the vendor stall, you'll find a giant stone orb. Cast Wingardium Leviosa on the orb and escort it down across the bridge leading to the east. Take a left after crossing the bridge and place the orb into the nearby crater to complete this trial.

Hogwarts Valley Merlin Trial 10

  • Spells Required: Basic Cast

To reach this Merlin Trial, fast travel to the West Hogwarts Valley Floo Flame, then hop on your broom and start making your way southeast toward Keenbridge. Before you get far, you'll find a ruined castle housing this Merlin Trial and an Ancient Magic Hotspot. As you approach be prepared to fight because the area is heavily guarded. To complete this Merlin Trial, you'll need to find and destroy nine orbs in the area. Cast Revelio to reveal the nearby orbs or check out the list below:

  • Orbs 1 - 3: Found near the doorway north of the Merlin altar.
  • Orbs 4 - 6: Atop the ruins west of the Merlin altar.
  • Orbs 7 - 7: Behind a breakable wall in the ruins southwest of the Merlin altar.

Hogwarts Valley Merlin Trial 11

  • Spells Required: N/A

This Merlin Trial is southeast of the Keenbridge Hamlet and it'll task you with completing a stone obstacle course. After beginning the trial, head southwest and climb onto the first stone archway. Leap from one archway to the next until you reach the fourth one. From here, jump onto the lone center pillar to complete this trial.

Hogwarts Valley Merlin Trial 12

Found just west of The Mine's Eye Floo Flame, this Merlin Trial will require you to place a large stone orb into a crater as if you're playing golf. To complete this trial, head north to find the large orb and cast Wingardium Leviosa on it to carry the orb down the path that leads down the northwestern hill. The crater where you need to take the orb is found just past overhead train tracks.

While Depulso and Accio can be used to push or pull the orb down the hill and into the crater, there are a lot of obstructions in the way that can cause the orb to stray.

Hogwarts Valley Merlin Trial 13

To complete this Merlin Trial, you'll need to use Confringo to quickly light three braziers so they're all ablaze simultaneously. Because the braziers are atop pillars that vary in size, follow the order listed below to maximize your chances of getting the three braziers lit at the same time.

  1. Light the brazier across the cliff to the northwest first.
  2. Light the brazier on the other side of the train tracks.
  3. Light the brazier hiding behind the boxes northeast of the Merlin altar.

Hogwarts Valley Merlin Trial 14

To find this Merlin Trial, fast travel to the Northern South Sea Bog Floo Flame before venturing up the northwestern cliffs. After defeating the Poachers inhabiting the nearby encampment, sprinkle Mallowsweet Leaves on the altar to begin the trial. You'll be tasked with using Reparo to fix three broken statues in the area. Below you'll find information that'll help you locate these statues:

  • Statue 1 - South of the Merlin altar, just to the right of the wooden steps that lead to another camp.
  • Statue 2 - Along the rock wall that is west of the Merlin altar.
  • Statue 3 - On the northern perimeter of the nearby camp.

Hogwarts Valley Merlin Trial 15

  • Spells Required: N/A

This Merlin Trial is west of the Keenbridge Hamlet and near the cave housing the Infamous Foes, The Grim and The White Wolf. To begin this trial, jump onto the stone archway that sits southeast of the Merlin altar. Drop down to the two following stones without touching the ground and you can check this trial off your list.

Hogwarts Valley Merlin Trial 16

  • Spells Required: N/A

The final Merlin Trial in Hogwarts Valley is another obstacle course-like challenge. To complete the trial, you'll need to jump from the first stone all the way to the final stone without touching the ground. Touching the ground will reset the trial and you'll need to start from scratch.

Hogwarts Valley Ancient Magic Hotspots

Hogwarts Valley Ancient Magic Hotspot 1

Once you've reached the Ancient Magic Hotspot in the ruins southwest of Lower Hogsfield, defeat the enemies patrolling the area and investigate the reservoir of Ancient Magic. This will automatically turn your camera to reveal that the first Ancient Magic fragment is located behind a locked door. To reach the fragment you can either ride your broom over the locked door or you can turn to the south to look for a doorway covered in wooden slabs.

Blast through the wood and you'll find a box. Use Accio or Wingardium Leviosa to drag the box back toward the first fragment and place the box to the right of the locked door. Now, cast Levioso on the box and use it to leap up to the second story before climbing down the ladder to collect the first fragment.

To collect the second Ancient Magic fragment, you can use your broom to fly to the top of the ruins or you can use the box once more. If you're using the box, escort it back toward the doorway where you first found it. After placing the box in front of the doorway, as shown in the image above, use Levioso on the box to keep it floating in place. Climb upward and scale the ruins to collect the second fragment.

Finally, to collect the third Ancient Magic fragment, exit the ruins and wrap around the southeastern side of the area to find several boxes blocking a passage. Break the boxes with the spell of your choice and the final fragment will be sitting within.

Hogwarts Valley Ancient Magic Hotspot 2

The second Ancient Magic Hotspot in Hogwarts Valley is located just southeast of the Brocburrow Hamlet. After investigating the spouting deposit of magic, burn the giant spider web to your right with Incendio or Confringo, then collect your first fragment. After picking up the first fragment, look to the southeast and you'll spot the second Ancient Magic fragment but you'll need to defeat a few spiders before you can collect it.

To find the third Ancient Magic fragment, climb up the nearby box and mantle onto the structure pictured above. Follow the natural path in front of you to wrap around the roof and crouch through the hole in the wall to collect the fragment.

Hogwarts Valley Ancient Magic Hotspot 3

To reach this Ancient Magic Hotspot, follow the path that leads west of the Keenbridge Hamlet. Just outside of a rundown home, you'll find a reservoir of Ancient Magic. After investigating the reservoir, you'll be pointed toward the first Ancient Magic fragment which is sitting atop the home's decaying chimney. Hop on your broom and fly up to collect the fragment.

The second Ancient Magic is located in the field east of the ruined home.

While the third and final fragment can be found on the southwestern slope pictured above.

Hogwarts Valley Ancient Magic Hotspot 4

The fourth Ancient Magic Hotspot in Hogwarts Valley is found outside of the decrepit castle just east of Keenbridge. Investigate the Ancient Magic near the castle's stairs, then use Confringo or Incendio to burn the foliage blocking the entrance.

Once inside the castle, destroy the crates to your right and crouch down to collect your first fragment. Next, use Accio or Wingardium Leviosa to place the movable wooden box in front of the area that housed the first fragment. Cast Levioso onto the box to make it levitate in place and use the box to climb up to the following platform.

Now climb up the subsequent ladder before destroying the boxes in front of the wall to your left. This will reveal another movable box so use Accio to yank it out of the way. Crawl under the passage created by moving the box and you'll find the second Ancient Magic fragment.

Head back through the small passage and use some of the remaining boxes to climb up to the roof where you'll find an Astronomy Table and the third Ancient Magic fragment.

Hogwarts Valley Ancient Magic Hotspot 5

To quickest way to reach this Ancient Magic Hotspot is to fast travel to the West Hogwarts Valley Floo Flame before making your way southeast toward Keenbridge. You should spot the hotspot on the nearby cliff, close to a Merlin Trial. The ruins housing this hotspot will be full of enemies so be prepared for a fight.

Once you've defeated the enemies and investigated the hotspot, use Incendio or Confringo to clear this doorway. Inside, you'll find some Galleons and your first Ancient Magic fragment.

To collect the second fragment, exit the room and look south to find the area pictured above. Use Accio to pull the handle on the left, then return to the room you previously opened and climb the ladder inside. As soon as you reach the top of the ladder, the fragment will be directly in front of you.

Lastly, to collect the third Ancient Magic fragment, climb the ladder near the second fragment and destroy the nearby boxes. This will reveal a passage into the tower where you'll be greeted by a couple of spiders. Take them out and collect the fragment within.

Hogwarts Valley Ancient Magic Hotspot 6

The final Ancient Magic Hotspot in this region sits within the castle ruins found southwest of the Brocburrow Hamlet. When you arrive, defeat the Mongrels inhabiting the castle then investigate the reservoir of Ancient Magic.

To collect the first fragment, burn away the foliage on the gate using Confringo. Then use Depulso on the mechanism pictured above to open a path to the fragment. Now use the mechanism found in the following area to open the second gate before wrapping around the western side of the structure.

Use Confringo to burn the foliage pictured above and climb the ladder that's revealed. Next, climb the second ladder and you'll find the Ancient Magic fragment. With the second fragment secured, head to the northeastern end of the ruins and clear the doorway of foliage with Confringo.

Walk through the doorway and use Accio to pull the box toward the wooden platform. Use Levioso to make the box float in place, then climb the box to reach the ladder pictured above. At the top of the ladder, you'll find your third and final Ancient Magic fragment.

Hogwarts Valley Demiguise Statue Locations

Hogwarts Valley Demiguise Statue Location - Brocburrow

For this Demiguise Location, you won't need the unlocking spell, but you will need to know where to look. You'll want to travel to the far eastern side of Hogwarts Valley to a small hamlet nestled up in the hills called Brocburrow.

Once you arrive in the hamlet, find the Floo Flame and start walking West until you hit the Merlin Trial platform in the middle of the village. Just northwest across from the Merlin Trial is a small unlocked house where your prize awaits.

Enter the house with no trouble, and turn around after going through the door - you can find the Demiguise Statue here along a floor shelf that's easily concealed.

Hogwarts Valley Demiguise Statue Location - Keenbridge

You can locate this Demiguise Statue at the hamlet of Keenbridge in the center of Hogwarts Valley, along its main river leading from the great lake. You will need to at least have the level 1 unlocking spell Alohomora to reach this Demiguise as it is behind a locked door.

From the Keenbridge Floo Flame, head west through the hamlet square past the shopkeeper Fatimah, and look for a tall house with a pumpkin patch and a large clothesline angling down from its lower roof. Use the lockpicking spell on the door to gain access.

Once inside, the Demiguise Moon will be right in front of you on a table by the stairs and a giant vase.

Hogwarts Valley Astronomy Tables

Astronomy Tables can only be used at night. To skip time and turn the day to night, access your Map and push down the right analog stick (R3 on PlayStation and RS on Xbox) or press the F key on your PC.

Hogwarts Valley Astronomy Table 1

To find this Astronomy Table, head toward the eastern Hamlet of Brocburrow. From here, travel to the hillside to the southwest. The Astronomy Table will be sitting beside some wooden barrels. Interact with the table and solve the puzzle to view the Corvus constellation.

The final Astronomy Table in Hogwarts Valley is located atop the abandoned castle just southeast of the Keenbridge Hamlet.

Hogwarts Valley Landing Platforms

Hogwarts Valley Landing Platform 1

To reach this Landing Platform, make your way to the cliffside due north of the West Hogwarts Valley Floo Flame. The Landing Platform will be at the top of the cliffs.

Hogwarts Valley Landing Platform 2

The second Landing Platform sits atop one of the ruined buildings found northwest of Keenbridge. For reference, these ruins are also near a Diricrawl Den, a Treasure Vault, and a Merlin Trial.

Hogwarts Valley Landing Platform 3

This Landing Platform is located near the southeastern border of Hogwarts Valley. To find the platform, travel to the Northern South Sea Bog before flying southeast. The platform will be atop a hillside near some train tracks.

Hogwarts Valley Infamous Foes

The Grim and The White Wolf

Both The Grim and The White Wolf can be found in a secluded cave west of the Keenbridge Hamlet. The cave will have two potential entrances that both lead to the cave housing the Infamous Foes. To find the first entrance, search for the small bridge pictured below and walk through the bushes ahead.

Alternatively, if you're on the hillside near the Merlin Trial, search for the stairs shown below.

Because the secret cave housing The Grim and The White Wolf is still rather tricky to find, it is recommended that you fly around this area on your broom and cast Revelio. This will greatly amplify the range of Revelio and mark the Infamous Foes on your Map so they're easier to track.

Quagmire Troll

To find the Quagmire Troll, travel to the Northern South Sea Bog Floo Flame before traveling up the river to the northeast. The Infamous Foe will be in a marshy camp east of the river. The Quagmire Troll's camp can be easily identified by a large, tent-like structure made out of lumber.

Alexandra's Troll

Alexandra's Troll can be found by visiting the Brocburrow Hamlet and speaking to Alexandra Ricketts who will assign you the Side Quest, Troll Control. Once this quest has been unlocked, head to the troll's camp which is southeast of Brocburrow and you'll get the opportunity to battle this Infamous Foe.

Riparian Troll

Find this Infamous Foe in the Dale Family Tomb located east of Brocburrow in the Hogwarts Valley Region. Enter the Dale Family Tomb and explore the area.

Use your Basic Cast to destroy the boulder wall to the east. Continue east toward the Devil’s Snare blocking the path. Cast Lumos to make the vines recoil, allowing you through the opening. Slide down into the chamber where you’ll find the Riparian Troll to defeat.

Hogwarts Valley Treasure Vaults

Hogwarts Valley Treasure Vault 1

  • Spells Required: N/A

This Treasure Vault is found in a cave west of the Keenbridge Hamlet and it's near the entrance of the cave housing the Infamous Foes, The Grim and The White Wolf. After entering the cave, dive into the small pond and the treasure will be waiting on the other side.

Found west of The Mine's Eye Floo Flame, this Treasure Vault is relatively straightforward and all you need to do to collect the loot is pry open the door with either Accio or Depulso.

This Treasure Vault is located within the river just east of the Keenbridge Hamlet. Dive into the river and when you emerge on the other side, swim toward the vault door.

When you reach the locked door, turn to your right and look through the crevice pictured above. Use Accio to pull the handle and the door will open.

Hogwarts Valley Treasure Vault 4

This Treasure Vault is located northwest of the Northern South Sea Bog Floo Flame and it'll require several spells to complete. First, use Revelio to find the elemental cube found above the vault entrance, then use Accio or Wingardium Leviosa to place the cube onto the altar in front of the vault. Once the cube is in place, use Levioso on the cube and the vault will open.

Once inside, use Revelio again to highlight the handles you need to pull to access the treasure. Pull all of the handles using Accio and the loot is yours.

Hogwarts Valley Treasure Vault 5

Found in the ruins west of the Keenbridge Hamlet, the entrance to this Treasure Vault is obstructed by the breakable rock wall pictured above. Use the spell of your choosing to destroy the wall, then head down the stairs. When you reach the door, pry it open with either Depulso or Accio.

Once inside the vault, use Wingardium Leviosa to escort the fire cube through the stone pillars. As you move the cube through the gap between the pillars, touch the campfire with the cube, then place it onto the altar. If you touched the fire with the cube this should automatically grant you access to the treasure.

However, if you place the cube onto the altar without touching the fire, you can simply shoot the cube with Confringo to collect the loot.

Hogwarts Valley Treasure Vault 6

This Treasure Vault is located northeast of the Keenbridge Hamlet. After going down the steps to enter the vault, destroy the rock wall to your right using Confringo. In the next area, use Confringo again to burn the foliage blocking your path to the treasure.

Hogwarts Valley Treasure Vault 7

To find this Treasure Vault, travel to the Brocburrow Hamlet, then head southwest to reach the nearby ruins. When you reach the vault door, use Revelio to mark the altar that sits atop the ruins to the left of the vault. Then head to the field southeast of the Treasure Vault to retrieve the elemental cube by using Wingardium Leviosa. Place the cube onto the altar, then case Levioso on the cube to open the vault. Inside the vault, step onto the platform on your right to collect your loot.

Hogwarts Valley Treasure Vault 8

This Treasure Vault sits east of Brocburrow near the entrance to the Dale Family Tomb. When you arrive, defeat any Mongrels lurking outside the vault, then walk up the path leading northeast to find the post pictured below.

Use Accio to pull the handle on the post and you'll open the Treasure Vault.

After making your way into the vault, use Revelio to mark several piles of bones that are needed to solve this puzzle. Use Wingardium Leviosa to place the skulls onto the bones surrounding the center altar and your treasure will magically appear.

Hogwarts Valley Treasure Vault 9

This Treasure Vault sits just northeast of Brocburrow and it'll require the use of an elemental cube. To find the cube, head to the field southwest of the vault and use Wingardium Leviosa to place the cube onto the altar by the vault entrance. Once the cube is atop the altar, cast Glacius on the cube and the vault will open. After entering the vault, walk through the archway and immediately turn around. The treasure will appear at the base of the archway.

Hogwarts Valley Treasure Vault 10

To reach this Treasure Vault, fast travel to the Central Hogwarts Valley Floo Flame then head west. When you get to the area, you may find the stairs that lead down to the vault but you'll need to locate a handle to open the door.

The handle sits on a rock formation northeast of the vault entrance, and when you find it, use Accio to pull the handle and unlock the vault. Once you enter the vault, use Wingardium Leviosa on the cube pictured below and move it to the center of the room. The floor reacts directly to the movement of the cube so when placed toward the center of the room, the floor will reveal this vault's treasure.

Hogwarts Valley Treasure Vault 11

To find this Treasure Vault, head to the West Hogwarts Valley Floo Flame and begin making your way toward the Keenbridge Hamlet. You should notice a Treasure Vault marker near the ruins that sit between the Floo Flame and Keenbridge. When you arrive at the vault entrance, use Revelio to locate the elemental cube that sits on the hill northwest of the vault. Use Wingardium Leviosa to place the cube onto its corresponding altar and the vault will unlock.

Some Inferi will be waiting within the vault so take them out to retrieve your reward.

Hogwarts Valley Treasure Vault 12

Though at first glance this Treasure Vault may seem like it's within the Feldcroft Region, it actually sits just within the southwestern reaches of Hogwarts Valley. To reach the vault, head northwest of the West Hogwarts Valley Floo Flame and defeat the spiders guarding the entrance. Inside the vault, you'll need to take down a few more spiders to collect the treasure.

Hogwarts Valley Treasure Vault 13

This vault can be found by exploring just past the Spider Lair on the cliffside northwest of the West Hogwarts Valley Floo Flame. After defeating the spiders lurking just outside the Treasure Vault, trek northward to find an elemental cube sitting in a spider nest.

Drag the cube toward the vault using Wingardium Leviosa and place it atop the platform in front of the vault entrance. Next, cast either Incendio or Confringo on the cube and altar to open the vault. Use your broom or Levioso to enter the vault and once inside, walk through the stone archway to reveal the treasure.

Hogwarts Valley Treasure Vault 14

The final Treasure Vault in Hogwarts Valley sits on the cliffside between the West Hogwarts Valley Floo Flame and the Lower Hogsfield Hamlet. When you arrive, you'll find an altar and a cube in front of the vault. Use Wingardium Levioso to place the cube onto the altar, then cast Levioso on the cube to open the vault.

Hogwarts Valley Collection Chests

There are 15 Chests in the Hogwarts Valley region, which encompasses the area south of Hogwarts, and they can often be found in hamlets, bandit camps, or dungeons.

Hogwarts Valley - Brocburrow Collection Chests

Find this first Collection Chest in Brocburrow just south of the Floo Flame. Enter the unlocked house to find the chest near a sofa on a large area rug.

On the western side of Brocburrow, find a house across from the vendor, Eddie Thistlewood. The Collection Chest is sitting on a wooden deck on top of the outdoor fireplace.

Use your broom to fly up to the chest. Another option to access the chest is to find the platform behind the house and move it to the area with logs and barrels near the chest, then cast Levioso to climb up the platform and jump to the wooden deck for your treasure!

To access this Collection Chest, you’ll first need to learn Alohomora I, which is unlocked as a reward for completing The Caretaker's Lunar Lament main quest. You’ll find the house north of Eddie Thistlewood’s vendor location.

Use Alohomora I to unlock the door and enter. Find the Collection Chest behind the folding screen near the bed.

Head north from Brocburrow to the pond near the floating balloons. You’ll find this Collection Chest on the northern side of the pond next to a wooden crate.

Hogwarts Valley - Keenbridge Collection Chests

This Collection Chest is in the hamlet of Keenbridge, south of the Floo Flame location. Find a small house near beehives. The house is unlocked, so all you have to do is walk in to loot your treasure!

Find this Collection Chest south of Keenbridge in a house at the river’s edge. It also has a sign that reads ‘No Trolls!’ outside the entrance.

To access this chest, you’ll first need to learn Alohomora I, which is unlocked as a reward for completing The Caretaker's Lunar Lament main quest. Unlock the Level I lock on the front door and head upstairs to claim your Collection Chest on the ground next to a couple of drums.

Head to the western part of Keenbridge to find a house behind the vendor, Fatimah Lawang. You’ll need to know and use Alohomora I to unlock the door to access the building. Head inside to find this Collection Chest near the kitchen area on the first floor.

Head west along the southern river of Keenbridge until you find a small shed with tools in a bucket outside. Head inside to claim this Collection Chest.

Hogwarts Valley - Dale Family Tomb Collection Chest

East of Brocburrow, find and enter the Dale Family Tomb. Use your Basic Cast to destroy the boulder wall to the east. Continue east toward the Devil’s Snare blocking the path. Cast Lumos to make the vines recoil, allowing you through the opening. Slide down into the chamber where you’ll find the Riparian Troll to defeat.

Climb the ledge to enter the opening on the south part of the arena. Head up the stairs and destroy the boulder wall blocking your path using your Basic Cast. Jump down into the pit.

Turn east to find another stack of boulders blocking the entrance to the Collection Chest. Cast Confringo to destroy the wall. Enter to claim your treasure on a table in the eastern part of the room.

Hogwarts Valley - The Gilded Perch Collection Chest

This Collection Chest is located in The Gilded Perch, an abandoned refuge southeast of Brocburrow. You’ll first unlock this location during A Bird in the Hand as part of Poppy Sweeting’s relationship quest line. If you’ve completed this side quest and did not obtain the Collection Chest, you can return to The Gilded Perch and find it!

Enter the Gilded Perch, and head north to take the stairs down into the next room. Cast Accio on a box sitting at the top of a ledge, and place it at the base. Then, cast Levioso on the box to make it hover.

Climb up the ledge to access the upper level. Follow the walkway around the perimeter of the room to find the Collection Chest at the end of the path next to stacks of hay.

Hogwarts Valley - Bandit Camp Castle Collection Chest

Find this Collection Chest in the Bandit Camp Castle east of Keenbridge. Defeat all the enemies at this camp to freely explore the area. The chest is located in the western corner of the camp under an archway with draped banners.

Hogwarts Valley - The Mine’s Eye Collection Chests

These next two Collection Chests are located in The Mine’s Eye, southeast of The Mine’s Eye Floo Flame. You’ll first unlock this location during It’s All Gobbledegook main quest. If you’ve completed this main quest and did not obtain the Collection Chests, you can return to The Mine’s Eye and find them!

Navigate the tunnels until you reach an open room with a large furnace. There will be multiple goblin enemies to defeat along the way, including guards in this room.

Face the western wall and take the stairs up to the next level. Walk south until you find a metal grate, and use your Basic Cast to knock it down.

Enter the crawlspace and follow the path to your first Collection Chest!

Once you take the elevator back up, follow the path until you reach a fork. Take the stairs up to find a locked door. You will need to use Alohomora II to unlock this door and claim the Collection Chest.

Hogwarts Valley - Upper Southern Bandit Camp Collection Chest

Find this Collection Chest is located at a Small Bandit Camp southwest of Keenbridge. This is the upper location of the two bandit camps in this area. Defeat all enemies and enter the tent on the northern part of camp to loot the chest.
