The Praxic Blade is one of the most unique exotics ever added, and with the release of Destiny 2: Renegades, players are going to be able to live out their Jedi fantasies wielding Destiny's version of a lightsaber. Here is how to get it, what the sword does, and the mods available.
How To Get Praxic Blade
The Praxic Blade comes from the Fire and Ice exotic mission. This mission is around halfway through the campaign, so you won't have to wait too long before you get your hands on your very own lightsaber. This mission is not timed and does not have any respawning restricted areas making it a pretty casual and straightforward mission.
What Does The Praxic Blade Do?
The Praxic Blade comes with three exotic perks and a number of modifications allowing you to completely customise your own Praxic Blade, making it truly unique compared to other players. First, we'll break down the perks and then get into the mods.
Exotic Perk- Cormorant Reversal: While guarding, this Sword converts incoming projectiles into bolts that reflect to where you're aiming.
Exotic Perk- Cormorant Combo: After three rapid light melee attacks, quickly heavy attack to execture a heavy melee combo.
Intrinsic Trait- Ranged Weapon: Heavy attack to throw your Praxic Blade which will seek out multiple targets. Attacking recalls the Blade while it is in flight. Hold to perform a more powerful throw, sending the Blade on a striaght path in the direction of your aim. Releating the button recalls the Blade.
Alongside these traits, there are 5 distinct modifications you can make to your Praxic Blade. Least important (or most important depending on what you value) are the crystals which change the colour of your Praxic Blade. There are 12 colours to choose from, and the sources range from the Equilibrium dungeon to Eververse store microtransactions.
The four other modifications are a bit more important for general gameplay, those being the form, focus, core, and catalyst. The form, core, and catalyst all focus on either the melee, deflect, or ranged attacks of the Praxic Blade, meanwhile the focus changes the stats of the sword itself allowing you to get very specific and "buildcraft" your Praxic Blade however you want.
