Tetris Effect: Connected

First played Tetris Effect on Game Pass. Got hooked so I bought it after it was removed. Also bought it on Switch. Been a Tetris fan since the original Game Boy. Love the immersion with music and gameplay. Really well done. Also enjoy the multiplayer where you work together to take down AI opponents. My favorite Tetris game to date.

This game made me cry, somehow. I don’t know, Tetris is just a beautiful game. We should’ve sent this into space with the voyager instead of that record.

A culmination of everything Tetris. Something that I've waited since release, the exact sort of game I wanted. The essence of Synesthesia, formed into a game of pure simplicity, forms an entirely new game on its own. The experience makes it just replayable, over and over again, and you'd feel something every time for each run of Journey Mode. The pacing matches you, you don't have to be good at the game, it suits you perfectly. It grows on you, in such a way it feels like you're actually... Journeying.. The beauty that is Tetsuya's vision really expands beyond Rez Infinite, and translates perfectly into this game. I'm so grateful it exists, one of the best, if not the best, games I have ever played in my personal opinion. Although I do warn other people, it is not for everyone to enjoy playing, but to admire its beauty, art direction, and execution, for those who can't play Tetris. However, it can be enjoyed by those willing to give it a try, for whether you play Tetris or not. It is also unfortunately not for those who are sensitivity to light, and I'm sad you are missing out on what could've been. I will never be able to look for such a game ever again after Tetris Effect.
