Services for Thomas Morris Grogan 88, were held Monday, March 15 at 10 a.m. in the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Hitchcock, Father Dennis Hanrahan officiated and Mrs. Clarence Luethemeyer was organist. Bearers were James Nault, Pat McLarty, Mike Spaeth, LeRoy Biggs, John Spaeth, and Iven Koetter. Interment was in Cottonwood Cemetery, Hitchcock. Grogan was born August 20, 1887 in Pana, Illinois and died March 11, 1976 in Oklahoma City. He married Clara Spaet, November 25, 1920 in Kingfisher. He was a retired mechanic and farmer and had lived in the Hitchcock area the past 55 years. He was a member of the Modern Woodsmen of America. Survivors include his wife, Clara, of the home; three daughters, Polly Frans, Kingfisher; Maurine Schenk, Hitchcock and Mrs. Bill (JoAnn) Adams, Scottsdale, Arizona; one sister, Mrs. Mable Ortner, Thomas; seven grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren. One daughter preceded him in death.
