The AXIS Object Analytics simulation is a 70-minute online course. The scope of the course is to familiarize and accelerate the expertise of the learner through simulated task performance with the GUI. It is a new simulation, first launched (March 2024).
The primary drivers of this new course are:
- Provide prerequisite training for Discover AXIS Object Analytics
- Provide an introductory training on the GUI
- Provide a just in time job aid for information out in the field
- Gaps in partner awareness of some capabilities of AOA

Course outline:
By the end of this tutorial you will be able to:
- Start and open analytics in the cameras GUI
- Create scenarios including: object in area, line crossing, time in area, crossline counting, and occupancy in area
- Modify an existing scenario
- Adjust virtual line or area
- Select classification of objects
- Calibrate the perspective to avoid false alarms
- Add burnt-in metadata overlays to video streams
- Set up rules for events including: record video when an object gets detected and a human stays too long in an area or send an email when 100 vehicles have passed
- Create include and exclude areas
- Set up alarms in AXIS Camera Station
- Integration of counting data
