Student and Early Career Advisory Council on Publications
The Student and Early Career Advisory Council on Publications (SECAP) is an advisory group to the Office of Publications and Databases, comprised of graduate students and early career psychologists with a focus on psychological practice. The group, established and facilitated by the APA Journals department, is charged with the mission of advancing psychological science and practice by providing APA with vital input on the scholarly publication needs of psychology graduate students and early career psychologists. Through open communication, SECAP helps APA anticipate the needs of future psychologists, and in turn, better serve the entire APA constituency.
