Over 300 micro-hydropower stations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province in Pakistan provide electricity to off-grid communities.

With a total capacity of 1,000 kilowatts, these micro-hydropower stations power about 1.5 million homes.

The hydropower station run from rivers fed by glacial melt from the Hindu Kush Himalayas.
