ADB's Work in the Kyrgyz Republic

The current operations of the Asian Development Bank (ADB) in the Kyrgyz Republic support economic diversification, inclusive development, and social protection. ADB also supports the Kyrgyz Republic’s active participation in the Central Asia Regional Economic Cooperation (CAREC) Program

As of 31 December 2023, ADB has committed 217 public sector loans, grants, and technical assistance totaling 2ドル.6 billion to the Kyrgyz Republic.

Cofinancing operations enable ADB’s financing partners, governments or their agencies, multilateral financing institutions, and commercial organizations to participate in financing ADB projects.

ADB began its operations in the Kyrgyz Republic in 1994. The Kyrgyz Republic Resident Mission (KYRM) was established in 2000.

KYRM's primary role includes:

  • Implementation of ADB's overall business plan in the country
  • Coordination of the country strategy and programming
  • Portfolio management
  • Project administration
  • Support for strategic policy dialogue
  • Regional cooperation
  • Coordination of ADB activities with the government, development partners, nongovernment organizations, academic institutions, private sector, and other members of civil society
  • External relations and information dissemination

KYRM will be closed on these dates:
