New music just dropped — your official survival soundtrack for this week's Blitzzard!

Poppy - "Time Will Tell"

Poppy just released "Time Will Tell" along with a haunting, futuristic video to match. She kicks things off with strong, almost angelic vocals before slamming straight into her signature Poppy mayhem. Off her killer album titled "Empty Hands" with 13 brand new tracks, and no skips. And if we're lucky, we'll hear some new songs when she takes the stage at Inkcarceration on Saturday, July 19th.

Rob Zombie - "(I'm A) Rock "N" Roller"

Rob Zombie just unleashed "(I'm A) Rock "N" Roller" from his upcoming album "The Great Satan", dropping February 27th with 15 new hard-hitting tracks. This is classic Rob Zombie in the BEST way possible! Instant "Hellbilly Deluxe" vibes - loud, edgy, authentic, and soaked in horror. A few singles already dropped from the album "Punks and Demons", "Heathen Days", and now this one that seals the deal on the feel of this album. I listened to one song and immediately bought tickets for his show at Blossom in September. Rob Zombie remains the pinnacle of rock and this album so far is reminding everyone exactly why.

Pop Evil - "The Decay"

Pop Evil are back swinging with "The Decay", a brutal, riff-driven track that pulls absolutely zero punches. The band announced the song alongside this message

"In a world full of pain, lies, distractions and half-truths, how easy is it to swallow venom dressed up as medicine without recognizing the damage being done? This one doesn't look away. Face the darkness. Accept responsibility. Make a difference, before your time runs out."

Pop Evil are sounding heavier than ever and the new video that dropped with the single proves it. And there's more coming - "The Decay" also marks the one-year anniversary of "What Remains". The band is releasing a Midnight Edition of the album on March 27th with surprise reimaging of the '80s classic "Don't You (Forget About Me)", plus a What Remains U.S. tour kicking off in February. It's shaping up to be a huge year for Pop Evil.

And that's not all, here are more new tracks to check out and complete your survival playlist.

The HU - "The Real You"

Mothica - "Save Your Roses"

Thirty Seconds To Mars - "God's Eye"

Whether you're still dragging yourself to work or trying not to lose it with the kids at home (yes, hiding in the closet and eating chocolate is perfectly acceptable right now), turn your New Noise up loud and make it through this Blitzzard one song at a time.

Women don't belong just on the side stage; we belong front and center.

Woman That Rocked My World

Janis Joplin, The Runaways, Pat Benatar, Stevie Nicks, and Ann Wilson. These women weren't just singers. They were my holy grail, pulling me into rock in a way I never expected... a force that would shape my entire life. I still remember the first time I heard Joan Jett sing "Bad Reputation" or "I Love Rock 'n' Roll." Right there, I knew rock music wasn't just something to listen to — it was a part of me. It consumes you to your bones, in every beat, every chord, every scream.

Then a beautiful, chaos-fueled powerhouse of women like Courtney Love, Shirley Manson, and Dolores O'Riordan, came in like a tornado, defining and entire generation or rock and paving the way for women in rock today. Women like Amy Lee, Maria Brink, Lzzy Hale, Taylor Momsen, Hayley Williams, Poppy, Courtney LaPlante, Emily Armstrong, and countless others aren't just performing, they're taking over. They didn't ask for space in a male-dominated industry. They took it. Rock is heavier, louder, and more female-led than ever.

I often wonder if these women even realize the impact they're making. Some of my best memories are taking my girls to rock shows. My oldest idolizes Maria Brink and is always front and center, soaking in every moment. These women aren't just performing — they're giving girls the confidence to step up, speak out, and be unapologetically themselves. That's Rock 'N' Roll.

Woman Who Rock The Airwaves at The Blitz

Rock doesn't just live on stage; it lives on the air too. The women at 99.7 The Blitz help keep it loud, alive, and unapologetic.

Kelly Quinn starts your mornings with laughs, energy, and her rock-and-roll personality. She sets the tone for the day, reminding everyone that rock is meant to be loud, fun, and fearless.

Ronni Hunter is a true pioneer, holding it down at The Blitz since the very beginning. Her passion and dedication helped shape the station into what it is today.

Tess leads with a one-of-a-kind personality, fearless, authentic, and impossible to ignore. She embodies rock culture in every way.

And then there's me — Glenda. New on air at The Blitz. Unfiltered. No polish. Just raw passion for rock, metal, and everything in between. Just hoping I can connect everyone with the music they love — not just listening but feeling it in every ounce of them.

Behind the scenes, women like Emily, Monica, and the teams in sales, promotions, the front desk, and everywhere in between keep this station running. Without them, The Blitz wouldn't work. Period.

From the women who built rock...

To the women setting stages on fire today...

To the women keeping it alive at 99.7 The Blitz...

Rock doesn't exist without women.
It never has and never will.

Live Nation recently surveyed 40,000 people (age 18-54) across 15 countries and discovered that 70% of them would choose seeing their favorite artist live over getting lucky. Seventy. Percent.

That means if you ask ten people whether they'd prefer a night of passion or a night in the pit, seven of them would already be lacing up their Converses. Honestly? Inspirational. (I mean... have you ever seen Bring Me the Horizon, Godsmack, System of a Down, or Ice Nine Kills Live? Exactly.)

Live Nation also dug a little deeper and asked what type of entertainment people would keep if they could only choose one:

  • 39% chose live music
  • 17% chose movies in a theater
  • 14% chose professional sports
  • The rest fell across TV, gaming, and other categories.

So what's the point of this survey? Live Nation wanted to show that even though ticket prices are rising, fans are still showing up in massive numbers. According to Google, ticket prices have jumped 30-45% in the last five years; from roughly 90ドル-96ドル in 2019 to an average of 135ドル-136ドル in 2024.

And fans aren't just buying tickets, they're traveling too. According to Live Nation, fans logged 40 billion miles attending shows, with 6 out 10 people traveling for concerts. And honestly, between tickets, gas, food, and hotels it's still cheaper than the therapy bill from one night with your situationship.

Yet even with ticket prices nearly doubling and traveling on top of it, the true aphrodisiac seems to be a 22ドル beer and a band that goes on 45 minutes late because no one has ever yelled " One more position!" the way the crowd screams "One more song!"

So be honest...are you choosing the pit, or your partner for the night?
