Women in Red

Women in Red is a project to address systemic bias regarding gender representation (content gender gap) in the Wikimedia movement. The goal is to "move the needle" in terms of statistical representation of women and other gender minorities on Wikipedia, most notably in biographical articles. The project was established in July 2015, at Wikimania Mexico City, by Roger Bamkin and Rosie Stephenson-Goodknight
While it was started on English Wikipedia, it has inspired other projects across the Wikimedia movement.
