Weather
[edit ]During the conference in February 2025, Bali is still in the wet season with average temperature of 30°C (24–33°C). In this tropical island, you can expect sunny days with a small chance of rain during this season. Expect 30°C daytime maximum temperatures in the shade with on average 8 hours of sunshine per day in Bali in February. Bali should expect an average of 15 to 22 days of rain, so be sure to bring along a waterproof jacket to stay dry this month!
Money
[edit ]As one of the Indonesian islands, the official currency in Bali is Indonesian Rupiah. We advise all the participants to change the currency at Bali airport or other authorised money changers.
The most common foreign currencies accepted for exchange are the US dollar (USD), the Singapore Dollar (SGD), and the Euro (EUR).
Major tourist spots, hotels, and restaurants widely accept credit cards and cashless payments, but cash in Rupiah is essential for markets and small shops.
Mobile connection and SIM cards
[edit ]Major telecommunications operators in Indonesia are Telkomsel, Indosat IM3, and XL Axiata. After arriving at Denpasar International Airport, you will find a couple of kiosks selling local SIM cards on your way out past the row of taxi and transport drivers. You can buy a local SIM card at the kiosk for full-time, reliable internet connectivity.
Internet access
[edit ]There is free wireless network access throughout the conference venue.
Electricity access
[edit ]In Indonesia the power sockets are of type C and F. The standard voltage is 230 V and the standard frequency is 50 Hz. Type C is also known as the standard "Euro" plug. This socket also works with plug E and plug F. Type F is also known as "Schuko". This socket also works with plug C and plug E.
