- Q: What are the topics of your radio program? And how many people are listening?
- Shola: We have many different topics, like how to start edit, but also "community topics", like anti-harrassment, etc. People can also skype in and ask questions. It’s hard to measure how many people are listening, there are no measurement tools.
- Q: What is a "hub"?
- Shola: We encourage schools to have active Wikipedia groups, we call them "hubs".
- Q: Isn’t it difficult to handle more than one partner in a project?
- Meriem/Mounir: Indeed, it’s not easy. We have learning that specific tasks for each partner need to be agreed before entering the partnership. We have also learned that it’s useful to focus on finding the partner with the right resources, rather that try to find a partner with a lot of resources.
- Q: Why is it so difficult to enter a formal agreement in Venezuela / for Wikimedia Venezuela?
- Issa: Actually, we have not enough experience in the organization yet, but we are working on that.
- Q: How do you motivate people to work on Wikidata?
- Issa: There is an obligatory service for Venezuelan citizens, so it is easy to recruit people, a selling point for them is to learn about "data mining". Also, government processes are very slow, but as an effect the authorities practically allow community service for WMVE (through the University).
