This will be the documentation page of the Wikimaps track and other map related work at Wikimedia hackathon 2022.

The Wikimaps track will happen on May 21. Suggest a session: T308014.

• Generate ideas for a community meetup

• Make a list of tools / software that the user group should be aware of and advocate.

Feel free to add tasks and suggestions to this list!

• Create an index of available maps and layers
• Make a public "x-ray" view of Wikimedia Maps vector tiles

• Full-featured map visual editor

• Add an option for opening maps in the Wikidata Image Positions tool

• Migrate Template:geo to use Wikidata coordinates

• Publish Help doc to help Wikimedians who want to add names in OpenStreetMap
