Wiki Explores Birbhum District - Phase II is a three day documentation project of the heritage sites of Birbhum district of West Bengal. The objective of this event is to do photo-documentation of the various heritage structures in the said area most of which have less or no presence in Wikimedia commons. Some of the places of adjoining district of Purba Bardhaman will also be covered.
Goal
[edit ]- Photograph heritage sites in and around Abinashpur, Mandala, Gonpur, Gunutia, Labpur, Jubutia, Nanoor, Uchkaran, Surul, Supur, Itonda, Illambazar, Ghurisha in Birbhum district and Goswami Khanda and Guskara in Purba Bardhaman district
- Upload media for the heritage structures of Birbhum district in Commons
- Create / Update articles about the heritage structures in Bengali and English Wikipedia
- Create / Update items in Wikidata

[edit ]- 13-09-2023(Wednesday) - Depart from Kolkata by Shatabdi Express. Night Stay at Rangabitan Tourist Lodge
- 14-09-2023(Thursday) - Visit by hired car to Abinashpur, Mandala, Gonpur, Gunutia, Labpur, Jubutia, Nanoor, Uchkaran. Night Stay at Rangabitan Tourist Lodge
- 15-09-2023(Friday) - Visit by hired car to Illambazar, Ghurisha, Goswami Khanda and Guskara. Night Stay at Rangabitan Tourist Lodge
- 16-09-2023(Saturday) - Check out from hotel and visit by hired car to Surul, Supur, Itonda. Return to Kolkata by Shantiniketan Express at afternoon.
