IRC/Group Contacts was mostly written by British English speaking users like Sean Whitton and User:Jdforrester. What you fixed was not a "mistake" in grammar, but rather a holdover from when the page was primarily written in British English. However, seeing that the rest of the page now uses American styled verb conjugations for groups, it was probably all for the best. Killiondude (talk) 03:58, 13 November 2019 (UTC) Reply
