Pinging ElectCom @Yahya, KonstantinaG07, HakanIST, DerHexer, and AramilFeraxa: I realised only one of you (Hakan) is in the IRC channel so you wouldn't have seen my ping. The #wikimedia-stewards-elections channel is not yet set up, and has the following issues:
- The channel topic is currently outdated (SE2025 voting opened, but SE2026 voting has now opened)
- The ElectCom ping mentions the 2025 ElectCom members instead
- The bot that would usually transclude changes to Steward/Elections 2026 related pages is not working

- Hey, I am also in this channel and noticed the same. We tried to get it running before the election, but the processes are very unclear. For that reason we have deprioritised it for now, but are happy for any kind of feedback or ideas to provide this additional service. - Thank you DerHexer, that makes sense - also, IRC is even falling somewhat out of fashion at the moment, for better or for worse! I don't think it needs to be a core part of the elections, although the bit about asking for help in the IRC channels might need a rethink, as my messages (and others) went unanswered in that channel. Hi. On DR’s vote page, I noticed that the "no" vote number #18 was removed by the bot, and I couldn’t find any issue on the editor source, but I can still see the vote being counted.
