Hi! I'm one of the three members of the new wikis importers group. Like the name implies, we're the ones who import the content once a new wiki has been created. As part of this, it would occasionally make things a bit smoother if the "centralauth-createlocal" right was also part of that group's rights. As you can see, we already have relatively extensive rights, mostly overlapping with normal sysop and interface admin rights. The "centralauth-createlocal" right is by default assigned to administrators, so I don't think this would add any additional risk (and it's a pretty low-risk right in any case, IMO). Can someone please delete b:no:MediaWiki:Accesskey-diff and b:no:MediaWiki:Accesskey-search? I'm accustomed to hitting "Alt+F" to get to the search box, but on this page that shows a diff instead (when in edit mode), because of these two messages having switched places. @Xaosflux: To nb, yes, which is the default interface language for nowikibooks. Both messages were created in 2005 in order to (according to the edit summaries) stay consistent with Wikipedia. The Norwegian Bokmål Wikipedia had these access keys only for a brief time – three months after they were added to nowikibooks, they were changed back to the defaults on Wikipedia. @Jon Harald Søby in your initial request you said this was a problem for you - so I'm trying to determine if there is also a technical issue going on? Are you having the "wrong" accesskey on nowiki, only when you set your interface language to no or regardless of the interface language? Hi! There is a page Interesting social studies/Special military operation in Ukraine in Russian Wikibooks. It was nominated to deletion, because it is full of Russian propaganda, such as "The purpose of the operation is to liberate from the nationalists primarily the industrial regions of the East of Ukraine" ("Целью операции является освобождение от националистов прежде всего промышленных районов Востока Украины"), see AfD. Unfortunately, the administrator said "Due to the complexity and obvious conflictness and possible danger, I find it difficult to close it" ("в связи со сложностью и явной конфликтностью и возможной опасностью я затрудняюсь подвести итог") and recommended as a possibility to "Take the issue to the level of the Wikimedia Foundation and leave the problem to those who have enough authority to make such decisions, primarily the stewards" ("Вынести вопрос на уровень Фонда Викимедиа и предоставить решать проблему тем, у кого достаточно полномочий принимать такие решения, в первую очередь стюардов"). I don't believe this requires, or would benefit from, steward action. The local discussion isn't exactly conclusive, and I understand it very likely can't be for safety reasons, but...this is fundamentally a local decision. Without local consensus, there is no basis for global action.

And, from my perspective, this isn't worth the trouble of seeking global action. As noted in the discussion, there is the good point that few to no people will read it this, and that it may (hopefully) be easier in the future to safely discuss its inclusion in the Russian Wikibooks. I understand that there are neutrality policies, but maybe some sort of compromise can be reached, perhaps to add a note designating it as the personal perspective of the author rather than a neutral textbook-style piece. Not done. Unfortunately this is really not something stewards should be doing. Stewards exist to enforce a consensus or a global policy or global RfC results. Stewards do not exist to create a decision out of thin air where no consensus exists. From my perspective as a Ukrainian the page is a despicable propaganda on par with nazi propaganda. But it is up to either a local community decision or a global RfC, possibly backed by an independent research such as it was done in case of hrwiki, to make a decision on what to do with such pages. --Base (talk) 00:07, 17 November 2023 (UTC)

Hello. In January 2017, I had made 783 articles in Malagasy Wikipedia. I did it from mistake, because then I was twelve years old and was believing that I was helping, but actually this wasn't helpful at all, basically a childhood mistake. In Ah3kal had requested the removal of these in behalf of me, and Vituzzu removed 567 of these pages. I have of course, since then understood how wrong was this, have matured very much since then, and because few native speakers exist in the project, I think that these pages should be removed. As it was a childhood mistake and I understood how bad was this, there's no need for action against me. I have improved heavily since then.

I would kindly ask that Asabotsy, Ozbekistana are exempt from the deletion and be kept, because native speakers have improved the pages and thus there are no longer machine translation problems on these two articles. Thank you.

I would like the page fr:Utilisateur:SyntaxTerror/Retraits du modèle Lien à corriger to be deleted. It cannot be done by wp.fr admins because there are more than 5,000 versions (see [1] [in French]).
