OAuth approval request for IFX

- Publisher: אודי אורון (other consumers by this publisher )

(Thank you for the ghelp with 1.1 - I still get `wikibase-api-permissiondenied` errors. I probably need to limit this to wikidata.org - requested in v.1.2 again. ) Thank You! --אודי אורון (talk) 23:09, 20 April 2018 (UTC)

Stewards, do you mind just userfying those old revisions to User:Valoem/Involuntary celibacy and User talk:Valoem/Involuntary celibacy per the original request? Thanks! GorillaWarfare (talk) 03:59, 7 May 2018 (UTC)
- Hmm, I thought the request was to restore the revisions then move everything over to the user space - I think I misread that the first time. This probably requires re-deleting the page, restoring only the old revisions, moving them, then restoring the rest of the revisions. Can you please confirm to which time point the revisions should be moved? (Also, I think I'll step back on this one, if another steward wants to action this) – Ajraddatz (talk) 04:23, 7 May 2018 (UTC)
- Sorry that was unclear! The newest incarnation of the article was from this revision on April 24. Everything since then should remain in the mainspace, but previous edits should be moved to the userspace and removed from the mainspace history once again. For the talk page, this is the oldest revision that should be retained. GorillaWarfare (talk) 04:41, 7 May 2018 (UTC)

OAuth approval request for Lingua Libre

- Publisher: Rémy Gerbet WMFr (other consumers by this publisher )
- Consumer key:

- OAuth admins: review/manage this application.
I'm currently developing Lingua Libre with the support of a WMF project grant and some help of WMFr. We had asked last year a first OAuth consumer, which we have hardly used because of a major shift in the project. However, as the development and testing comes to their end we would need it now, but with a different callback URL, that's why we're asking for this second consumer.

ZU WP: mass edits today by IP user
Earlier today a dozen+ new pages were created and dozens of edits made in the Zulu Wikipedia by User 91.136.132.162. In Recent changes (Izinguquko ezimanje) they all appear to be nonsense. 137 (or so) stubs for numbers need deleting, as they are (besides being completely useless) in the wrong language (English). Apparently done to push the wiki past 200 articles. May or may not be our good friend Decker. Normally nowadays I would try tagging one of the pages for deletion with a link to the user's other contributions, since stewards should be watching for that on all adminless wikis (right?), but the wiki doesn't even have din:Template:Delete or din:Template:Db, so I guess I can't do that. (Or would stewards still see it even if the template is missing? I don't even know how it's implemented now.) Hence this report here. - dcljr (talk) 01:17, 13 May 2018 (UTC)
- I note that the deletions were done by Matiia. You can, of course, create Template:Delete locally which surely is of some use; but reporting on this page looks more efficient, especially for such a high number of pages. There used to be a tool which shows all pages marked with {{delete}} on all wikis, but I neither know whether it still exists nor whether someone uses it at all. --MF-W 12:22, 14 May 2018 (UTC)
- @MF-Warburg: The "Manual requests" section above links to two tools at WMFLabs, the first of which is apparently no longer working even though it's listed on the "stewardbots" homepage. The second one runs, but is reporting 0 instances of {{delete}} on wikis with no admins, along with a warning that something unexpected happened, so I am skeptical that it is working properly. @Holder: you seem to delete a lot of the stuff I've tagged with {{delete}}; do you use a tool to find them? - dcljr (talk) 20:28, 15 May 2018 (UTC)
- Hi dcljr. Normally, I also use this tool on stewardbots homepage. --Holder (talk) 04:05, 16 May 2018 (UTC)
- OK, so I guess that is working, then. That's the one I was saying didn't work for me — meaning the page never loaded at all. But I'm not a steward nor even an admin, so maybe you have to be one of those to get the page to load? Anyway, good to know it's still working... - dcljr (talk) 05:32, 16 May 2018 (UTC)

OAuth modification request for inventaire and inventaire_dev
Hi stewards,
- As we are working on importing items from Inventaire to Wikidata, we would need the inventaire and inventaire_dev consumer keys to be granted the right to create Wikidata new items, is that possible without creating new keys?
- Also, it seems that the inventaire_dev is now unable to pass a callback URL with a custom port to
https://www.wikidata.org/w/index.php?title=Special:OAuth/initiate
: onlyhttp://localhost/whatever
is allowed, nothttp://localhost:3006/whatever
. If keeping the flexibility to use any port isn't possible anymore, could the callback prefix be changed tohttp://localhost:3006
?
Thanks in advance, -- Maxlath (talk) 14:49, 29 May 2018 (UTC)
- Tgr (WMF) approved the last OAuth request, so he should know better with regard to the developer question than Stewards. — regards, Revi 16:14, 29 May 2018 (UTC)
- @-revi and Maxlath: Neither of those is possible to change currently, short of doing direct DB edits (which I'd rather only do if creating a new consumer is somehow problematic). You can use a callback prefix of
http://localhost
and append the port when calling (more of a bug than a feature), although I'd like to get rid of consumers pointing to localhost at some point. - If you only need the consumer for single-user testing, give it a name that makes it clear you do not need it to be approved; the owner can use the consumer without approval. --Tgr (WMF) (talk) 16:23, 29 May 2018 (UTC)
- @Tgr: We were relying on that localhost prefix + custom port bug until a few months ago, but it stopped working; sort of an undesired bug fix from our point of view ;) I will have a look at owner only keys for development, and probably re-request a key for production to include item creation rights cc @Jumtist:. Thanks! -- Maxlath (talk) 18:15, 30 May 2018 (UTC)
- @Maxlath: owner-only consumers cannot be used for the authorization dialog. You can register a normal consumer though, name it something like XXX (personal testing), and the owner can use it without admin approval. (FWIW I don't think anything changed recently about callback URL handling. Maybe an unexpected side effect of T168417 but it shouldn't be and that was over half a year ago anyway.) --Tgr (WMF) (talk) 21:48, 30 May 2018 (UTC)
