The request should be approved per the procedure that is described in the page intro (If you have already bot status on the English or German Wikipedia, we assume your bot is doing no harm and can quickly get the bot-flag.). @Midleading: It seems like there was some discussion in the Wikimedia Forum about the volume of edits the bot would perform, and about some copyright concerns. Have these been resolved? EPIC (talk) 15:34, 17 January 2026 (UTC)

There was preliminary approval from the local Wikisource discussions. I suggested the user to communicate this project to WMF to minimize disruptions. Currently, there are no opposition to the project other than hardware/scalability issues, which may require some hardware/financial support from WMF. The content is public domain and meets inclusion policy of Chinese Wikisource. Midleading (talk) 14:11, 22 January 2026 (UTC)

The bot has been inactive since 2013, and the operator appears to be inactive as well. Been completely inactive since 2017, with a few minor edits in 2018. I have left them a message about the removal on their talk page (linked above), but I am unsure if this will help. Hence, the removal request. There are no 'crats on the project to do the removal.
