Comment Comment Per Bot policy#Global bots, „the bot must already be active on several wikis, with long-term contributions to back up its trustworthiness" (emphasis added). According to Special:CentralAuth/BetaBot, BetaBot (aside it.wikipedia and wikidata – BetaBot has local bot status on both these projects) has not made edits longer than from 25 January 2016 on, and only on (aside it.wikipedia and wikidata) seven projects: 119 edits on it.wikinews, 92 edits on de.wikinews, 30 edits on pl.wikinews (where the bot has local bot status), 12 edits on fr.wikinews (where the bot has local bot status), 7 edits on pt.wikinews, 1 edit on it.wikiquote and 1 edit on ru.wikinews. I am not sure whether the requirements of the global bot policy (active on several wikis, long-term contributions) are met. --UV (talk) 21:52, 17 February 2016 (UTC)

Requesting bot flag for this account. Already has bot flag in gl Wikipedia, 90k+ edits there. gl wikiquote has standard bot policy but no active community nor bureaucrats. I already manage such robot on the walloon wikipedia w:wa:Uzeu:R. Giskard Reventlov; I request for a robot flag for the same user on the walloon wiktionary, to not clobber the "last changes" list. The robot is used mainly for orthographic mass changes (correcting a spelling on the whole site), and fixing links. It seems there is nobody with enough rights on wa.wikt to do it locally. It's a special bot account. It doesn't follow the current wikipedia usage on bot-naming because I created it (on wa.wikipedia) long before there were such usage. (but it is a robot name, even with the infamous leading "R." ;-) )

• Not a steward but.. it is your responsibility as user running bot software on your account or a bot account to read the local bot policy of the wikimedia project in question. Bn.wiktionary uses standard bot policy, which states you must run a bot on a separate account. This bot intends to perform a task that needs to be done (at least initiated) as soon as possible as the task depends on an external source that might be unavailable without notice.
