About Us

[edit ]

Nabweru community soccer academy was founded in December 29th 2020, after the covid19 lockdown. The loving football community of Nabweru blessed the coach’s (Joseph) Idea to rejuvenate grass root football once again because it had been a while since the first academies (Setup soccer academy and Sky Fliers soccer academy) seized their operations at the playground. Coach Joseph saw an opportunity to practice since he was fresh from Level One football coaching course. He then engaged some individuals (Mr. Kabuse Dan, Mr. Mugwera Daudi, Mr. Matovu Jim, Mr. Adam Ssemambo, Legendary coach Ssemwanga Twaibu and Ms. Kiwanuka Scott) about the issue and they agreed to support the Idea and the first equipment used were given by them.

Nabweru Community Soccer Academy is a non-profit entity, based in Nabweru, Wakiso district, we aim at upbringing future professional football stars. Academy started its operations immediately after the covid19 epidemic that struck the world with misery and uncertainty, during that period it had only 5 players, but now the academy has over 80 players both boys and girls who are between the age of 4years and 17years.

Vision

[edit ]

Improve player’s level of understanding of the game and building them mentally, physically and psychologically to compete at any given level of football. And have a place we call home for the academy where we can monitor and look after all players.

Mission

Objectives

[edit ]

To identify, develop, nurture and promote players through different levels of football.

To create opportunities which can enable players acquire education at all levels; primary, secondary and university/institution through football.

To use football as a tool to enhance the academy and community members socially, physically, mentally and divert them from socially undesirable activities like stealing, drug abuse,

To attract unprivileged individuals like street children, orphans, abandon children to join the game of football so that they can be discouraged from feeling left out, like street children engaging in sports would help them change positively and return to their parent.
