[edit ]- [1] [2]Thomas Müller informed the community of some details of Jimbo's new effort (not under the WMF umbrella) to create a search engine based on an Wiki-ish model, asking for various types of help. Some discussion of the details followed.
- [3]Andrew Whitworth reported difficulties on the Wikibooks project in clarifying owner-versus-contributor status.

Some discussion on the form of this followed, as some people objected to permitting a direct link to that organisation as it resembled advertising, although it was brought up that by the matching agreement, this was a decided matter. Considerable further heated discussion on this followed, including whether it is advertising or not, with mention of possibly forking the project. Other discussion on if posting this link might crash their website also occurred, followed by people noticing their site being down 12 minutes after its inclusion.
- [18]Ryan Bilesky proposed a new project, WikiCode, which would aim to be a free code repository. Erik Möller provided a link to a project that already did that.
