SheSaid 2023 Tanzania

There are significant numbers of notable women who have shaped the past of African societies, there are innovative African female businesswomen who help to drive Africa’s many economies (formal and informal) and there are everyday realities that women and female children must face due to their gender. In this regard, the Wiki Loves Women initiative celebrates women leaders with the SheSaid drive.

The SheSaid is a Campaign run by Wikiloves Women that aims to celebrate and recognize women by focusing on enhancing their representation and visibility on Wikiquote. Through this drive, the WLW initiative encourages the creation and improvement of Wikiquote entries related to these influential women, thus contributing to a more inclusive and diverse representation of their voices and perspectives.

Wikimedia Tanzania participated in this campaign by creating and editing existing Wikiquote articles in Swahili language in order to celebrate women in enhance the visibility of women.
