EduWiki Nigeria/Objectives

Conducting Teacher Training and Workshops:

• Organize workshops and training sessions for teachers to familiarize them with Wikipedia and its educational potential and adapting Wikipedia into their Lesson Plan.
• Highlight how Wikipedia can be used as a valuable teaching and learning resource.
• Provide guidance on how to integrate Wikipedia assignments into the curriculum.
• Provide guidance on how to intergrate other sister project like Wikibooks, Wikivoyage, Wiktionary into the Curriculum.

Promoting Wikipedia and inclusive education in schools : This will play significant impact on students' learning experiences and knowledge access.

• Inspire students to actively participate in Wikipedia and other sister projects by editing or creating articles that are relevant to their course content. These sister projects includes Wiki common, Wikidata, Wikibooks, Wiktionary, Wikivoyage.
• To encourage student study and collaboration on articles, assign Wikipedia-related assignments and other sister projects that are in line with the course objectives.

Establishing Partnerships and Collaborations:

• Partner with local community organizations, libraries, Education authorities and non-profits that focus on education or digital literacy.
• Collaborate on awareness campaigns, workshops, or events that promote Wikipedia and inclusive education.
• Explore joint projects, edit-a-thons, or outreach programs that bring Wikipedia and other sister projects into schools

Fostering Community Engagement:

• Foster a sense of community among students and teachers interested in using Wikipedia and its sisters project by organizing meetups, discussions, or forums.
• Engage with the broader Wikimedia community to connect students with experienced editors.
• Mentorship
• Increasing Wikimedia and Education research output among members in Nigeria.
