About
Just This Once and Let's Larp, Just This Once, is a catchphrase most commonly associated with a panel and reaction image from the Jujutsu Kaisen manga, in which the character Yuta says, "Just this once," with a battered face and a finger raised in the air next to his head.
The Yuta panel comes from Jujutsu Kaisen chapter 180, in which Yuta fights Ryu while giving himself a tactical disadvantage for the sake of making the battle more enjoyable. The image, as well as the scene from the anime series, became the subject of memes, including redraws and video edits, throughout 2026. In April 2026, reaction images using the phrase, "Let's larp, just this once," started going viral as a way of calling someone out for "larping" or pretending to be into something they have no knowledge about.
In August 2026, the catchphrase "just this once" was closely associated with the Great Fandom Truce of 2026, a meme trend about all of the internet's fandoms coming together to hate on the movie Lesbian Space Princess.
