groupware

As javilinsharp pointed out in his post, the groupware solutions that are out there seem to be missing our niche (small dev shops in general -- not just Drupal) entirely. So, I have to ask:

What features would you want, or definitely not want, in a groupware solution for your company?

Does anybody know about opengroupware ??

Maybe it could be interesting to study how to make opengroupware.org tools available through a Drupal interface (maybe built with Flex 2 SDK for the client side while using Services/Amfphp drupal modules in the server side)

It's just an Idea, I haven't had the time to study the project by myself...

What exactly was the initial the focus and perspectives of this group? The brief description on the top of the main page does not provide sufficient information to trigger interest, I believe.

Does anyone have any ideas why work in this group did not picked up?

Waiting for Drupal 5.0 ?

The things I see as really being key to making this happen are CCK, Views and install profiles. Meaning that the next version of Drupal should be really ripe for pushing an effort like this forward, though I'm sure there will be lots of tweaking and customizing to get it 'just right'.

When I'm not late for an appointment, I'll outline what I believe are the key things a groupware implementation should include.
