Using Omega 3, systems prompts for upgrade to Omega4

Posted by jkneip on February 9, 2014 at 11:31pm

I have a couple of sites using themes created with Omega 3 as the base theme. I keep getting prompted to upgrade the base themes to Omega 4. I've tried removing Omega 3 as base and installing Omega 4, which usually really messes up the design. If I'm staying with Omega 3 for the time being, should I just ignore these updates eventhough Drupal's system thinks they are critical updates.

Thanks,

Jason

Some projects I just completed

Posted by mark_anthony on July 3, 2013 at 3:19pm

Just wanted to share some recent projects.

Used the awesome Omega theme for these. It was a litte tricky geting the hang of this theme, and probably will be forever tweaking. Lots of ccs styling here, so they work best in the most modern browsers, non of dat IEeeeek! 8 and below.

Next up is to try the Boost module on the first two sites.

Comments and suggestions appreciated.

what am I doing wrong now?

Posted by fchandler on March 2, 2013 at 7:46pm

could someone shed some light on this? I want a background color on the entire background. However, I get a block of white at the bottom of the screen. I can add padding to get rid of it, but is that what I am supposed to be doing?

#page {
background: #E7CBBB;
padding: 0px 0px 400px 0px;
}

see the attached image.
When looking at it in Firebug or Chrome inspect, I can't select the area.

Tabs not displayed with Omega

Posted by glenndejaeger on December 30, 2012 at 6:54pm

Hi,

I'm using the workbench module as 'account page' for users. From there they can edit their profile, see their new posts and add new content. The admin can also follow up new posts and moderate them.

Workbench uses different tabs on top. When I'm logged in I use the overlay module and use the basic theme 'seven' to display stuff in overlay. I can see the 4 tabs on top of the 'my workbench' page (see screenshot 1).

However, when I disable overlay and use my own omega theme as admin (= the same other users see), the tabs are hidden and they're not present in the generated HTML.

print page Title in region other than region-content

Posted by Kristina Katalinic on December 28, 2012 at 12:12pm

Hi everyone :) its my first time in the group although I've been working with Omega for some time now and loving it.

I am now developing a sub-theme of Omega 3.x that requires me to print page title in zone-preface and i thought it should be easy enough but....

So far I created a zone--preface.tpl with following
code inside

<?php
if ($wrapper):
?>
<div
<?php
print $attributes;
?>
>
<?php
endif;
?>

<div

<?php
print $content_attributes;
?>
>
<?php
print $content;
?>

<?php
print render($title_prefix);
?>

<?php
if ($title):
?>

Posted by Kristina Katalinic on October 9, 2012 at 7:13am

ok ekipa,

Foray into Drupal Commerce

Posted by DrMicky on August 28, 2012 at 11:25pm

Today Steve, I have been theming a Drupal Commerce Kickstart 2 install.

I got so far and have now decided to read the omega documehtation.

Should I have created a new subtheme in sites/all or is it ok to fiddle with the one in the profile directory?

Time will tell. :D

Converting HTML design to Omega Theme

Posted by maxbohr on April 9, 2012 at 9:45am

Hi All,

I am pretty new to Omega theme. I have worked with other themes earlier. I have an HTML design (with CSS). How do I convert that to Omega sub-theme?

Overriding page.tpl, makes the theme non-resposive!

Regards
Sanjay
