We are seeking senior Drupal developers interested in writing code for both the front-end and back-end of our local (Japan) and international clients.

This position requires critical problem-solving skills, multitasking, a detail-oriented nature, and the ability to work within deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Experience Requirements: (Is not mandatory to meet all the requirements)

Minimum 5 years of HTML, CSS and JavaScript
Desire to learn open source development tools and systems
Interest in Drupal 9 development

Hey everyone, we are managing the build for the new drupal.co.jp. Its a community build, that will be managed by use (Alethia Inc.), but provided for the community.

It is hosted on github here: https://github.com/srw2d/drupal-japan

There will be more annnocments in the future, and everything will be addressed at the meetup, here: https://www.facebook.com/events/338265309598779/, but people can be involved at any time.

わたしは昨年から Dries Buytaert 氏のブログを個人的に翻訳して Web サイト上で公開しています(これまでローカライゼーションやドキュメンテーションに貢献していなくてすみません)。

drupal.org にある英語文書の和訳に興味はあるのですが、ブログだけでも訳せていない記事がたくさんある状況なので、残念ながら日本語ドキュメンテーションの作業に参加する時間を確保するのは難しいと思います。ただ、少しでもお手伝いできるように可能性を探ってみたいので、以下、考えたことをまとめてみます。独り言だと思っていただいて構いません(^^;)。

現在の状況は以下のようにまとめられるのではないかと思います。

I'm wondering how people in this group are using Drupal, more specifically I'm wondering what the market is like there now for freelance developers. I lived in Tokyo for 5 years so I know my way around and know the language a little. I have plenty of work in the US but would love to come back to Tokyo, even if only for a working vacation. Just curious how/if people are getting by doing the freelance thing in Japan.

Good news is that our client loves the site we launched for them a month or so ago. However they would like to have a Japanese version of the new site at their .jp domain. Anyone with experience localizing Drupal for Japanese?

Hi Everyone,

I know I have not been around much lately (Japanese Group). We are crazy busy at the moment.

We are about to put out a Japanese Ubercart and things turned out very well. I am more excited and pleased with Ubercart than when I first started. I really am amazed at how well they did things out of the box being that it is only version 2, it is a great module, and calling it a module seems almost too little as it is amazing.

I am looking for a web designer in Japan who can work with the Drupal. If you know anyone or know where to look for, please let me know! Bilingual in both Japanese and English would be ideal, but not necessarily.
