Crear nube de tags

Posted by wentrukona on May 4, 2015 at 8:15pm

Pantheon vs. Rackspace Managed Cloud

Posted by brad.curnow on January 16, 2014 at 4:04am

Hi All,

Wondering if anyone has any experience/opinions on Pantheon vs. Rackspace managed cloud for running high performance Drupal?

My initial thoughts are that Pantheon probably offers the superior developer experience for Drupalers, but Rackspace likely has more flexibility in terms of backend configuration at a server level for real experts (as well as being slightly cheaper?).

Unfortunately for me, Pantheon doesn't yet have servers in Australia although I'm told this is in their long term expansion plans. I can use the local CDN to serve statics at least.

Large Image and Video Library

Posted by kitestring on May 19, 2011 at 9:52pm

I have a client that wants me to develop an image and video library which I've already done with Drupal since the taxonomy among other things works very well. My challenge now is to handle the storage requirements. Initially we will need about 1TB and eventually about 2TB. Amazon S3 seemed like a great option, both cost effective and scalable. I just can't figure out how to have the system/modules store the images in my bucket rather than a directory on the server.

Experience with LiquidWeb's Storm on Demand "cloud" hosting?

Hello!

I'm thinking of moving a somewhat high traffic site off of a Verio VPS to LiquidWeb's Storm on Demand cloud hosting:

https://www.stormondemand.com/cloud-server/

I love the ability of our Verio VPS to scale up and down, but during high volume times the VPS isn't really enough.

Scaling Plan for Novice

Posted by dereckd on February 24, 2011 at 5:08pm

I've tried to go through the groups and forums to glean as much information as I could prior to posting this. I fall into the category of someone who is fairly familiar with drupal and mildly familiar with server setups. There is a wealth information on Performance and tuning, but it leaves the novice without a clear path of how to scale. I though I would post my setup here along with my confusion, in hopes that it will help other individuals in the same boat.

My Current Setup
I currently have 400K nodes and 100 users
I hope to be able to scale to 100k + users 5M Nodes
