Migration from Open Atrium 1 to Open Atrium 2

Posted by ms8277 on April 16, 2014 at 7:35am

Hello everyone, I'm working in a University running Open Atrium 1 as the intranet platform for the college, we are planning to migrate from Open Atrium 1 to Open Atrium 2. our main concern is that is it possible to migrate the users, posts (with linked contents) and ideally pages (notebooks) ? what are the possible methods to achieve that, we are willing to try any method or whether there is a plug-in to achieve this task.

Thank you in advance for your support.

Customizing Open Scholar User Signup

Posted by Jaxem on February 23, 2012 at 9:34pm

Hey all,
I'm part of a team investigating open scholar for our university to see if we want to use it. One key thing we want is some sort of integration with CAS in the user signup, When you sign up it allows the user to enter info in fields, does anyone have any experience using a CAS sign on to auto-fill these fields. I've been trying to find where i can even edit the setup of the user signup page without much luck, can i do this through the Drupal UI? Any help is really appreaciated guys, thanks!

-----Setting up user--------------------------
my content
a) everyone can views
b) nobody can views
c) only give users permission (select user name)

Gmaps with circles denoting quantities

Posted by dunx on September 21, 2011 at 9:51pm

I'd like to modify the default User Locations so as to avoid any user addresses being given away. I realise I can prevent zooming, but still results in too much information being given out.

One thing I saw years ago was using maps with quantities centred on UK postcodes (although could be cities, countries, etc.) with a bigger diameter circle meaning more people were based there. You had to draw the biggest circles first, but it looked really good and gives a great view of where your members are based without given much away about their actual location.

Loop through users and/or roles

Posted by unwiredbrain on September 17, 2011 at 3:47pm

It is possible to loop through each registered user? What about user roles?

Here's a real use case.

I want to run a club; be it a book club or a night club, doesn't matter. Being a club, it must have members i.e. users with a particular user role applied ("member"). Each user membership lasts for a certain period of time ("membership period"), let it be one hour, 6 months or 20 years, doesn't matter.

[member] users have a field named "expiration" which contains the user creation timestamp with the [membership period] applied.

Show blocks on other Users account pages only?

Posted by Rick Wagner on April 20, 2011 at 5:21pm

I've found a handy code snippet to show a block on the logged in Users My Account page (/user) but also need to show certain blocks on other User's account pages (users/sampleuser)

Using the wildcard "users/*" in the block config also adds the block to "/user", which I don't want.

Is there a code snippet that will do what I want? Show blocks on other Users pages only?
