A new Drupal-based LMS is available.

It's called Opigno, the idea is to provide an end product packaged as a distribution (Opigno). The user can download different apps separately and create their own, customized e-learning solution.

It has been designed to be very easy to use, and evolutive (through an app store). For more details you can have a look at: Opigno website

We'll be interested in your feedback on Opigno. Every comments or suggestions are welcome!

http://demo.h5p.org/node/49
(The presentation is 100 % editable using a web browser without plugins)

H5P stands for HTML5 package and is designed to fill the need flash once filled. HTML5 content is created as a singe file and may be uploaded to a website the same way a flash file is uploaded and published. Purpose of the group

Posted by alistair.boudreaux on April 23, 2010 at 7:53pm

Hello everyone!

I am happy to see people already participating in this group. As Kim mentioned, this group started due to a need for schools to leverage the open-source community of Drupal in developing learning management tools. Our 'birds of a feather' discussion group made it painfully obvious that the current crop of LMS tools are not fully meeting our needs.

Posted by iaminawe on September 19, 2009 at 5:56pm

Firstly congrats to the Open Atrium team its a really impressive product and I think is going to be the basis for many effective communities... Thank you for your hard work.
As we have seen with DrupalEd , organic groups make great classrooms.

I think a really useful open atrium install profile that could be an e-learning system out of the box ... would be a combination of DrupalED and Open Atrium

I am planning to do some work to try and see what I can can do with creating some education orientated features for Open Atrium around the following modules

Usefulness of an integration of Mediabird Study Notes into Drupal?

Posted by fabiangebert on June 17, 2009 at 3:18pm

Hello everyone,

I am the co-founder of the Mediabird Study Notes software, which is an extension to existing LMS.

Mediabird is a collaborative online notepad that allows small study groups to collaboratively work on shared notes at any time. It is not only possible to extend notes or edit them at the same time but in particular Mediabird allows users to annotate notes and ask questions about them. With that respect, Mediabird combines the ideas of a wiki and of a forum but is not as public as a wiki and relates questions to the notes rather than separating them as done in a forum.
