http://groups.drupal.org/node/9719 consists of a great idea to encrypt RSS feeds of private posts. But the discussion there has been dead and not updated for quite some time.
I want to see whether this service has been achieved or not(in my knowledge it isnt.)
As on the discussion on the page, this module one created is very helpful but requires a great deal of work. So I need some guidance in doing this and I also have some doubts regarding the details that the module should contain in the project page.
Administering Aggregation Feed Items
We need all a site administrator to
1.) select (check boxes) rss items to publish, (essentially allowing them to filter out items in a feed),
2.) to optionally tag the individual feed items (essentially determining which view they'll be included in)
3.) optionally override the item title.
Any recommendations on modules / examples / approaches appreciated. It seems Views Bulk Operations doesn't support aggregation items, is that so?

Had a question. I am new to feeds module and am trying to import an rss feed into drupal.
I can import but am only getting the title. I am looking to import custom files but done find them listed when I do mappings.
Is there a way I can parse out the data from the import and assign it to specific content types.

Hi,
I used feed importer before but somehow I am not able to replicate what I did. I created two nodes, one for the source of the feed and one node to hold the content of the feed. I remember creating a node source and inputting a url link to the feed in one of the options. Then I used feed importer and base on the source node, it pulled in feeds and created the content node.
Keeping a library of feed contents
Is it possible to create a library of old feed content without deleting any of them. I want my feeds to always stay on my site and not get deleted by the Feed Aggregator. In admin/content/aggregator/settings, under the title Discard items older than:, there is no option to not discard any feed item. Is it possible to keep all my old feeds after each cron job run at all times?

Imagine if the core RSS/ATOM/whatever parser would be robust and solid in Drupal core, even it could serve 3rd party modules like Feeds.
I have a concept of relying on an associative array, full of XPath expressions what a smart piece of code could use directly for building the final $feed object. The high level goal of this new parser would be the following: maintainence on the parser would mean mainly maintaining this array, nothing more.
Also XPath seems to be more future proof solution for parsing compared to what we have in core now.

In the text, they describe that we can get current weather by RSS using the following feed syntax:

where 2502265 is the location for the weather forecast as a WOEID.

Hi guys!
One of my non-developer crew member responsible for pr has asked: "Gregory, feeds from affiliated sites are pretty cool. But is there a way to not escape from page, where feed was clicked?".
So, I was looking for some setup for this, like
[x] Open feeds in new window
I couldn't find it.
First thought: add target=_blank in aggregator-item.tpl.php or wherever link is being prepared.
But don't you think, that this functionality should be added to configuration?

1.SAE: sina app engine , belong to sina.com (China), it's a service like google app engine ,but provide PHP hosting and mysql hosting and more! well , i think it's better than GAE, because i only know php but not python/java. It declare itself cloud service. And better than GAE, it use SVN.
2.Since it offer php and mysql hosting , drupal can be hosted. But a little hack to install.php , nothing more hack
Import a list of RSS feeds categorised with taxonomy
Hi,
Not sure it's possible with the feeds's UI to do that. But it's what i need to do !!
Things i can do, separately:
- With feeds module i can import and do mapping with a CSV file everything i want like taxonomy.
- I can also import some RSS feeds, with a taxonomy, one by one, thru the UI.
What i'm searching so hard: do both things together.
I explain:
- I use this type of CSV file:
URL,Title,Taxo1,Taxo2
url1,1rs feed title, category1,type1
url2,2nd feed title, category2,category2
url3,13rd feed title, category2,type1
Import <category> feeds field RSS
Hi! First of all I am newbie in Drupal.
I use Aggregator module to import rss feeds to my page. Everything works all right. The question is: can I use the field that comes in the rss xml? I need to categorize the feeds using that field and I don't know how to do it. Maybe I'm missing something in that module.. Probably using Feeds would be better.. but I've notice both are keeping other normal fields in database as tittle, description, url..
Please anyone could help me? have I got to develope a new module?

Create podcast and audiobook collection
Hi,
I am planning a Drupal 7 site that will deliver podcasts and audiobooks. After reviewing the modules available for D7 to create RSS and specifically podcast feeds I have arrived in a state of confusion.
It seems that the recommended modules, i.e. FFPC are not available for D7 and are not currently under development.

When I use aggregator, I am not able to pull the full article. I am only shown a teaser of the article. Here is an example of what I mean. http://feeds.washingtonpost.com/rss/politics. If I click on the links to the article the full article with the image shows up. Is there anyway I can pull the full articles?

I am trying to create a view that shows only the title and an image of an RSS feed. I'm trying to make something similar to Linkedin's RSS feed block on the homepage. I am currently using feeds api mapper. There is no source for just the image. I found another module called feeds. I'm not sure if that has a method to solve the problem I am asking. If programming is needed, I am not sure where to start. Any help would greatly be appreciated.

How to aggregate the full story when you only get a teaser
I'm building a news analysis system and I might be using Feeds and Open Calais. The problem I have is that many RSS feeds only publish a title or a teaser but we need the full article. There are many plugins available for feeds but so far I haven't seen any that can do that. Has anyone found a solution to grab the full story out of an RSS feed that only publishes a part of it?

I have about 20 unique feeds currently running on my site. I would love the ability to map the feed name into a CCK field so I know the node source. It does not appear this is possible. Would this be a wanted feature in the future? The only solution I currently see is to create a unique content type for each feed. Any other ways to solve my problem???

I'm wondering if anyone has any experience working either with Wiredrive or mRSS? I assume hooking an mRSS feed up to something like flowplayer should be pretty straight forward.
