Hey guys,
Been long since I used Drupal.
I was wondering if there is anyone who has built anything running on Drupal 8.
I have a small one pager site that I though would be interesting to test Drupal 8 on.
Any hints or tips? Anyone?

a) make the width boxed, not full,
b) application form would change it to a web form, though when u click apply, it displays an image with the form below, would do it reverse show the form above the image
the site is fair, and easy on the eye

What are your top Drupal 8 modules? Are they stable?
For now am concentrating on
For now am concentrating on commerce 2.x modules for an upcoming project.
Top modules for now; Rules, Workflow, Views, Blazy, Flexslider, Smart Trim. Slick, Layout plugin, composer manager, calendar. All are stable.
Just take care of the meta tag beta-10. Server suicide incase you use Composer and Drush for all operations.
Calendar is safely used via views templates on installing, not stable out of the box.

Its too early for me, to embark on a drupal 8 site for a complex project, I got burnt when drupal 7 had just come out in 2011, site used to crash more frequently than i can remember, views was a nightmare.
Funny thing, I am planning to do a drupal 8 site for a Drugs & Medical Equipment facility that I am establishing, only problem is that I cant come across a very good theme for drupal 8. I did find a very nice theme a few months back, but when I need it, now I can't find the darn thing.
But yeah, I will still do it on drupal 8, will share the link when done.

Have you tried playing with rules to notify on purchases in commerce 2.x. Its too messy with rules. Seems not to have an out of the box messaging system

Anything fairly complex, I will not do drupal 8, my experience with drupal 7 when it had just rolled out, still sends chills down my spine.
I did a site that had a lot of messaging, organic groups, and the whole shibang, url is understandrisk.org
to make matters worse the original site was on Ning, and I had to migrate all the content with associated users, plus threaded comments, real nightmare

I didn't switch to wordpress, that website was in Ning, and I migrated it to Drupal 7, way back in 2012, I have since moved on, and am not the current maintainer

Wow, cavinm .. that is a scary story. Something like that happened to me too but it was on a much simpler hotel website on Drupal 7.
icehunk, that's an interesting module collection. From a Drupal 7 background, I would say I am only familiar with only a quarter of the modules on your list.
I am going to take Drupal 8 for a spin over the weekend. I will also share my output here when I am done.

I have decided to do the website on drupal 8, against better judgement, problem is am having hard time finding a good theme, and I don't buy themes, most themes after u buy them, u find they r crap

Most themes are really crap, specially those you buy and you find real html cod in some parts, instead of a user friendly interface for the client.

away should have a solution in next couple of days , am just hoping big pipe is worth the hype , otherwise would have dumped Drupal 8, how I wish I had a cookie and cutter project like my friends (nameless)
