Anyone done any Drupal/Church Windows integration? Is it even possible?

You can't get there from here

Drupal/Church isn't something that is or isn't compatible with Windows. Drupal is a website that is hosted on the web (like Google or Amazon) and can work on Windows, Mac or even linux (another operating system).

When you asked this question, what kind of answer were you looking for? What do you want to do with Drupal/Church if you had it up and running.

what you don't know will inspire you

again the problem of 'church management software'

I think pearlbear was referring to "Church Windows" which is a 'church management software' package.

And to answer the original question, it doesn't really mix with Drupal. Since Church Windows has a web version, you could possibly host Church Windows and a church website (under Drupal) on the same host, but that doesn't get them to talk unless, say, they both use the same database and you write some code to share tables between them. I have no idea what database Church Windows might be using...

If you were interested in getting Drupal and a 'church management software' package to coexist, it might be better to start with a package based on php and mysql, like ChurchInfo, which is open source.

My church office uses a different church management package, Servant Keeper, which appears to be even more proprietary than Church Windows -- about the only way we move data from Servant Keeper to the website is using CSV exports.

Also we are planning on

Also we are planning on making a Drupal Church Management Distribution! So you could get involved in that :P

At the moment all the work is working on a Drupal CRM (Which I think forms the basis of a ChMS too) at http://groups.drupal.org/crm-api

Yes - Church Windows software

I was talking about the church management software "Church Windows." I was hoping perhaps they had an API, and perhaps someone had written some drupal code to talk to the API, but, alas, I guess not.

My church has already implemented CW, so there is no hope of changing that.
