Should we remove the rule that states, "Authors may enter at most three games"?

In all honesty, there's no need to submit multiple games to a competition. If you make a game for a contest, you should make that game as awesome as possible, rather than make it good enough and move on to something else.

Totally agree!

I guess I assumed it'd be 1 game per participant. What about a happy medium like submit all the games you want (as this is very good for Drupal to show the breadth of possibilities), but only make 1 of your game submissions your "official entry?"

Thoughts?

What's the point? Just submit the one that will be the contest entry. All other games could be submitted to a showcase somewhere, instead.

I guess I'm the only one who voted "Yes" but, funnily, I voted Yes for the exact same reasons as everyone else voted No. Frankly, the idea that anyone is going to have enough time to create three "competition-ready" games is ludicrous to me - I just don't see it as being possible. I mean, really, if this mythic developer can be so prolific, why hasn't he been this prolific before or already?. So, to me, the entire notion of spelling out the rule is just wasted space: the likelihood of someone entering 3 is as silly as someone entering 4, 5, 6, or more. As such, it's a waste rule and doesn't need to be specified.

If someone DID make six entries, well, I think we also all agree that their quality would suffer.
That'd come out during voting which, again, makes a stated rule irrelevant.

I went ahead and removed the rule. Not sure I can close the poll. Not that it matters now the decision has been made of course...
