Drupal Snap Shot Utility
I have a command line snap shot utility I can do a quick demo of. It's point of interest is looking after settings.php when copying a Drupal instance from one place to another (e.g., Prod to Dev for testing), or moving across servers. Backup, restore, run, no editing. It's written in Python and has been working well moving instances between Windows-XP and Linux.

Newbie question
I'm over in Victoria and interesting in attending. Were I come over, what sort of event is this? Is this like a usual user-group meeting? Intros, innovations, problem and user-contributed solutions? Where is it likely to be held (on a campus, at a Denny's, at someone's house) (ie. where was the last one)?

User group meeting
Yes, your description is accurate -- we make sure everyone introduces themselves, then we talk about things we're working on or demo cool new stuff that is coming up.
The last couple have been held at Bryght's offices in downtown Vancouver. Some folks usually head out for beer afterwards as well.
