OK it's more of an afternoon, but hey we're going to get together and try to address either some issues with #d8rules or something with the D8 version of the jPlayer module. You're choice. Meeting at Red Door to enjoy some nice beer and wifi.

This meeting we will be finalizing plans for the Global Sprint Weekend which will be happening on January 30th. We need to discuss location and what we would like to sprint on.

We moved our monthly meeting back a week, not because Mark and Jeff were out of town, but really to be in line with the D8 release. Really...

This month we will hopefully
a) hopefully get the date right
b) watch Jeff's presentation on Features and
c) talk about our contributions to Drupal 8

Join us for our May meetup. Some of us will be at Drupalcon LA, but those who are in town can enjoy Jeff Tomlinson talk about Features. Once again we'll be at Red Door Brewing.

April 1st.. The Day of Fools. With that we can think of no better person to do our presentation more than our own Mark Casias. As we get closer to the release of Drupal8, Mark will round up some of the new features of Drupal8 from the perspective of 1) A developer, B) A site builder and iii) a themer. To help ease the pain of listening to Mark, we've wrangled up a license to PHPStorm to raffle off at the end of the talk. Huge thanks to JetBrains for their support.

Let's talk about Drupal. I was thinking of going over Pagoda Box and Acquia hosting solutions. Acquia has graciously provided some free hosting for our website, which I'll be making less sucky as time allows.

Drupal Summit Latino, Guadalajara 2012 will take place on the "Universidad de Guadalajara". Drupal Summit Latino aims at being an event to unite and bring together all the Drupal communities, companies and people around the Latin American and Brazil.

Session proposals are still being accepted for the next DrupalCon, being held at the Colorado Convention Center in Denver, March 19 -23, 2012. The conference theme is "Collaborative Publishing for Every Device" and the deadline to submit sessions is October 26, 201123:59:59 UTC/GMT -7.

DrupalCon Denver will be focusing on 8 significant areas of expertise and of particular interest to Drupal users and developers alike. Preference will be given to session ideas that examine the following tracks and how they relate to the conference theme:

I am greatly surprised and encouraged by the response. I would like to get some Drupal-specific events going throughout the state so we can meet others working with Drupal. I think there should be some meetings where people can participate remotely just so that everyone has a chance to meet in-person. But we could also have posts about our Drupal activities or other ways of communicating with each other. Does anyone have any suggestions? I would like to organize some meetups and meet some other Drupal people in New Mexico. I am not in Albuquerque. Does anybody object to changing this to a general New Mexico group.

Any interest out there for a meetup this month? Next Friday, May 8th would be our normal meetup time, however I will be out of town and will be unable to attend. If you guys are interested Jeff and Anna Lisa are always up for meeting up and we were discussing just having a casual meetup at a Flying Star instead of a library or conference room.

We last left off with an Organic Groups experimentation where we were developing our own publishing model with authors, editors and publishers. We made some good progress and I think we'll continue in this vein.
